Ok, so I love anything Disney but have not ever bought my ds2 much in the way of Disney clothes other than 2 mickey shirts he has and some stitch pj's. Now that we are going I have been really loving the idea of dressing him in Disney clothes and pj's while there. I have found him one shirt on ebay that is a cute red surf shirt that I am excited for him to wear but that is about it other than the couple shirts he already had. Anyways, do you all dress your kids in Disney the whole time you are there? Do you dress yourself in Disney? I think it is really cute to do and I was telling dh.. "it just seems like you should"lol.

Am I just trying to be TOO much into the whole Disney spirit while there? I am still browsing ebay trying to find some last minute things and some pjs for him but not much luck yet. I think I will have to give that idea up..lol I just can't help but want everything to be Disney on a Disney trip. (this is our first) Mainly I think b/c of pics. I want to look as festive for Disney as we can! :rotfl:

Am I alone? :confused3

Well, this trip we are because this is DD 1st to Disney World. We've had one shirt embroidered, and we've (okay, I've) madetee shirts from designs from the "Post you homemade WDW tee shirts here". I've downloaded several designs and am printing them on heat transfer paper and making my own shirts that we will wear while there. I'm having a ball, DH's having a stroke. :rotfl:

In my closet, you will find a ton of disney T-shirts and sweatshirts.
As for DD4, at least 75% of her closet is disney and princess stuff.

So no, I don't think you're trying to be too much in the disney spirit! I don't think that's even possible

I spend a ton on Disney shirts! If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have a wardrobe! But to answer your question, I wear Disney every day in the parks (I do tend to dress up for night stuff, but not quietly)! We've made four shirts for this trip (thanks also to inspiration from the T-shirt thread), but the rest I will buy there. Leaves more room in the suitcase for bringing stuff home if I don't overload them with unnecessary clothes (because I always end up wearing the shirts I bought instead of the ones I brought).

Dress the family Disney! You won't be alone!

I was just wondering about this very thing today! I'm not usually one for character clothing, but my one exception is Disney shirts/pjs. I won't dress the kids in Disney stuff every day while we're there, but I have been looking for a few things; got dd some princess pjs and a Minnie shirt. Just got ds a Mickey shirt today; almost got myself one but didn't, and I was wondering what other folks do. I'll be interested to read the rest of this thread.

My husband is not too happy about my buying *unnecessary* stuff for this trip. So, I've only bought a few things. We were in a mall with a Disney Store and they had t-shirts @ 3 for $22 and I bought 3 - 1 Buzz Lightyear for my son for the day we go to MGM and 2 different Disney Princesses for my daughter, which she'll wear to our 2 Princess character meals.

I would love to be able to buy a few more, but I understand how he feels; this trip is the most expensive thing we've ever done! We are a one income family and spending extra $$ on clothes for the kids when they already have a closet full is probably not a great idea. Especially since I *really* want to buy some scrapbook stuff, an autograph book or 2, a few Passports in EPCOT, and several Christmas ornaments...

My DD will dress her DD in Disney clothes while we are there. SHe bought clothes for her already while they were on sale for a Jan 06 trip. She has already scoped out the Disney store, and will make purchases for the little princess that she can wear when we come home. GDD is 3 and loves her Disney wear, so this will add to her surprise trip. I have been looking on Ebay for princess dresses, as well as a Minney Mouse outfit so that she can wear them to the Character meals. DD has started to delete any email from me regarding this.....only promises to get worse. Wait until I figure out how to make T shirts.....

I didn't last time and regretted it.This time the girls have princess dresses for CRT.I also bought the shirts at the Disney store for 3@$22.I got them 3 each.I ordered my DD6 some princess pjs on clearance.

Aside from wearing my pin lanyard, and Pal Mickey. I don't dress Disney. My kids are getting a little older so the princess stuff is out of the question. They do wear their souvenir t-shirts while we are there.

As for DH, it goes the same for him.

He did buy HUGE Mickey Mouse slippers in July and plans on wearing them when it gets colder here. They are so cute.

I usually stick to my Disney jewellry at home. Watch, ring, gold chain. Nothing too obvious.

HAHAHA. I actually wanted to wear a little tiara so I could boss people around. Hey I like Disney, my dad says I'm a princess....I guess that makes me a Disney Princess, right? princess:

I am not really into dressing "Disney" when I am at WDW. Most of the clothing I have seen just isn't my style with the exception of the vintage Disney clothing, which I LOVE! I have a cute vintage Mickey sweatshirt and t-shirt that I bring with me to WDW. Also I have one pair of Mickey socks, but that is it for my Disney wear. DS also has a vintage Mickey sweatshirt that he brings. DH wouldn't be caught dead with a picture of any kind of character on his chest. :confused3

I too am one that dresses DD7 in nothing but Disney while we're there. I am making matching tshirts for us this trip. I went on the thread for post your homemade Disney shirts here and had some wonderful designers there do personalized shirts for us. DD has seen most of them and is too excited, however, I have one surprise one for her that I'm not going to show her til it's done. (I have to get more shirts) She is an all star cheerleader and Julie&Nicks mom did one for her that has a cheerleader mini done in her uniform colors. It has all star cheerleader at the top and mine says all star cheer mom. She is going to be to happy when she sees it. It's a great way to save money just having to buy plain shirts and iron on transfers. Not to mention my daughter's name is Arianna and we never can buy things with her name on them unless their personalized. This trip almost all her shirts will have her name on them. Can't wait til we leave.

:cheer2: 35 days and counting
:earsgirl: princess:

I love to dress the whole family in matching Disney shirts.. it takes really great pictures and the whole family looks so cute.. plus I know that if ever any of the kids got lost we could always tell security that the shirt they had on looks like the rest of the family...LOL

When my sister and I were younger, my mom used to dress us in matching disney outfits when we were there.

try disney direct i got disney t shirts for 3.99 each... i got 3 for each of us- matching of course, my 12 yo DS says im out of my mind if i think he is going to "match" us every day....hahaha

I have a friend who makes overalls and I found a cute pair of Minnie Overalls on ebay:

I also have some princess overalls too. I have to say every time Minnie saw my DD in her overalls she gave her lots of attention and it was so cute.

No. I usually dress my kids all in the same color each day. I probably will not bring any disney clothes with us, and generally wait to wear new stuff until we get home and have a chance to wash it.

The last time we went to Disney I dressed the kids according to the restaurant we were eating in that night. When we went to Garden Grill they wore denim overalls because that's what the characters there wear. The night we went to Crystal Palace, DD, then 2, wore Winnie-the Pooh pants and shirt and had a Winnie-the Pooh pacifier in her mouth. We also had a Pooh diaper bag and had just bought her a Pooh dinner plate set. None of the characters, including Pooh, noticed. We leave for Disney in 2 days :cool1: and I am not planning any special clothing this time, except DD may wear a t-shirt that says Princess the night we do the Princess dinner at Akershus.

we were at the mall last week and I looked at us (DH, me, DS7, DS4) and unknowingly we all had on Disney shirts! DS4 had on Mickey, DS7 had on Power Rangers, DH had on Bruce from Finding Nemo, and I had on Grumpy. It was quite hilarious - we must've looked like loonies!

We usually wear a Disney shirt at WDW but then again we were them out of WDW too! :teeth:
