Do you dress yourself/kids in Disney things while there??

In the past, yes...I've dressed both my kids in "Disney" and myself a day or two. My dh, well...ummm....No. He's not much into characters on his clothing, especially in public.

This trip, I think I can still get away with it for my 6 y/o, but my 10 y/o might not go for it. Of course, the don't even know we're going yet, and they won't know until we get up that morning. So since I'm packing, I guess they'll have to wear whatever I pack! LOL I do tend to dress them "matchy" in Disney, even if it's not Disney Wear. Like they both wear their GAP shirts on the same day, or their Old Navy Flag 2005 shirts, etc.

I'm not buying anything especially for the trip, however. They still have shirts that fit that they wore on our last trip, so those will suffice. As for myself, I just gave away 2 of my Disney shirts to my best friends mom...they are all coming with us and she is financially unable to purchase new clothing for herself, so I've shared the magic. I have one Disney World shirt left, and I'll probably buy a new one while we're down there. The rest of the days, I'll wear regular clothing!

Yes..I only bring Disney shirts for the kids when we go to WDW. My DH & I haven't worn them but this October we will. I made some cool shirts (designs on the craft board) & 2 of the days we will match..the rest of the time the kids will be in Disney clothes..me & DH in our regular shirts/shorts.

Actually I made matching lime green (of course!) shirts with Mickey & the Gang saying "Our Disney Vacation October 2005". All 5 of us (me , DH & 3 kids) will be walking around in very loud lime green matching mickey mouse shirts...only at WDW..I would never dream of walking around like that in NYC!!! :rotfl:

My mother and I take my DS7 & DD11 each year. Packing is easy because each of us just packs enough black shorts & navy blue shorts to go with our matching tie dyed t-shirts. We made enough sets for all of us to wear all 7 seven days of the trip. We have 2 different sets of matching Disney shirts (purchased from the Disney catalog) that we wear to character meals. I think matching shirts look so much better in all the pics we take.

99.9% of my wardrob is Disney..even my work clothing. ... so not only do I wear it when I am there, I wear it home (work & play). There is hardly ever a day that you will see me in an outfit that doesn't have Disney on it somewhere & if you did, all my purse's are Disney.... I am just slightly obsessed (can't spell) :earboy2: :earsgirl:

It is my DS's first trip, and I would LOVE to dress him totally in Disney stuff. Unfortunately, like another poster said, I am a SAHM and my husband doesn't believe in spending more money on an already expensive vacation. I have bought him about 3 shirts, but I'm saving the rest of the $ for our souveniers once we are there.

Also, since we are going in a couple of weeks, I'm trying not to buy dark colored shirts as it is supposed to still be in the low 90s. It is hard, because so many of the boys shirts are navy and dark green. I'm worried those will be too hot when we are standing in the sun.

Hope you have a wonderful first trip with lots of Disney Magic!!!! :cool1:

Yeap, I could have wrote your post! I am a sahm and dh is the only source of income and definately would die if I spent money on Disney clothes. I have been ebaying as many things as I could to get spending money for the trip so whatever I spend has to come from that and I just can not bring myself to spend that. I did buy the one surfer mickey shirt for like $6 shipped which was good.

I wish I knew how to make the shirts you guys are talking about. I have looked through that thread at the designs and they are so cute but I did not fully read up on how to do it. I am guessing you need a printer..which I don't have! :rotfl: My luck! lol I keep needing a printer lately and hating I don't have one. well I guess he does have at least 2 shirts to wear while there so that is better than nothing. :sunny: I will make it my goal for the next trip to have him plenty of Disney shirts and a couple for dh and I too.

Oh do not show me the cute overalls! I have been drooling on ebay for a month now over them. I found the CUTEST Mickey set for him but they were $40! :earseek: Oh I wish..lol I wish people would sell used pairs on ebay but no such luck. I guess if I had a pair I would not want to get rid of them either.

Thanks again for all the comment. I knew I could not be the only one loving the idea of having us (esp ds2) in Disney clothes while there. :)

Not only did I dress my DS2 in Disney EVERY day and night we are in WDW, I dress him in nothing but Disney the other 51 weeks of the year!

A few years ago Disney released Disney material. I bought all of it and have made matching shirts for my DH and myself that we wear at Disney. I also have a sewing machine that embroiders and I have also made embroider shirts for Disney. I have embroider shirts for just going to Disney and I also have embroidered shirts for Xmas.

I also have some princess overalls too. I have to say every time Minnie saw my DD in her overalls she gave her lots of attention and it was so cute.

If i looked this cute i would wear them too!!! does she sell them? really cute. any pic of the princess stuff

jan1033-Those are so adorable on your dd!! She is so cute!

I constantly shop for T-shirts that dd and I can wear. I have the same shirt she's wearing in the photo below (with Cinderella). I've been lucky to find them on clearance at the Disney Store or the Character Premiere where I recently picked up a pair of new shirts. I find the smallest for her and the largest for me :teeth: ...they're great for pictures while your there! DH just is "too cool" to participate..LOL :rotfl:

How cute the 2 of you must be! I bought a DIsney cardigan sweatshirt with a hood for myself and a very small matching one for my GDD. She was only two at the time, but always asked if we could be twins if one of us wore it. Sle has since outgrown it, but I am looking forward to trying to match mine when we get there in Jan. The matching clothes just seem to make time together even more special for us.

OH I COULD CRY!! Now I have been looking on ebay and I have found THE PERFECT outfit for my lil man! We LOVE LOVE LOVE Pinoochio and Jiminy, and they have made some overalls that would be so perfect! What I would give to be able to have these..lol No way is that anywhere near my budget though.. I am just dreaming! They need to have "timeshares" on these outfits... I would love to rent it for the trip! :rotfl:

Just wanted to share it.. how cute is this??

DD,4, was picked for Storytime with Belle last week. I think it helped that she was wearing her Belle T-shirt.
When she wore her 3 princess shirt it gave her a talking point with the princesses.

I usually just wear my Disney stuff while at home. While in Disney, if wearing a logo print t-shirt, I'll usually wear something from my hometown. I find it to be a great conversation starter with others in line as well as with CM's.
