Do you do water parks

Do you visit water parks at WDW?

  • YES!!! Wouldn't miss them.

  • NO!!! I have water parks at home. Why waste precious park time?

  • No, but it's because I don't visit at a time of year when it is warm enough.

I'm just wondering how many of you make time to go to the water parks while visiting WDW...

I haven't ever done a water park, they just aren't my thing. Plus I have Adventure Island 10 minutes from my house so I'd just go there, I'd rather do the theme parks when at Disney. :)

We had sooooooooooooo much fun at Blizzard Beach. We certainly have a lot of waterparks here in Southern California, but none as perfect (theming, thrills, cleanliness, etc.) as BB and TL!

Great fun!!!

Of course!

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are great parks!

I would recommend Blizzard Beach. ::yes::

To let you know, I'm not going to the water parks on this trip.

We love the water parks! When I plan what month to go to WDW, I always eliminate November through February because one of the water parks would be closed.

:thewave:

We didn't do a water park unitl our fourth trip! Enjoyed it, although I planned a full day and we only stayed a half day. Had a lot of fun, but the kids didn't want to do the slides over and over again. So next time I will only plan for half a day.

For years my DH and I skipped the water parks and then one hot summer we decided to give TL a try. Now I can't even imagine summer at WDW without going to a water park! We always do TL during the day, and then the parks in the late afternoon and evenings in the summer. We don't have kids, but we still have a blast on the slides and chillin' out in the lazy river. Love it!

I love TL. That is my favorite. I wish i tried River Country. My nephews loved it. I like BB too. But i love doing the shark tank.

I've only been to BB once. My older dd and I had a blast, but dh and younger dd ended up back in the room after a couple hours. I'd really like to go again, but since we have an AP without waterparks, we would have to spend extra to go. If dh and younger dd aren't interested, it would mean splitting the family for the day. I'm not sure I want to do that. Hopefully next year we can convince them to do TL or BB again.

I voted no.

My kids don't swim yet. When they get a little bit bigger, we will give them a try.

Been to WDW 5 times now...been to BB once and to TL twice. We really like TL a lot. We try to get there right at opening and then leave around noon.

We love BB!! It is a must do every trip. Especially with the WinterSummerland mini golf right outside. We usually spend the morning at AK, then grab a quick lunch and head over to BB for a few hours, then get some mini golf in, go back to our rooms and get ready for a nice dinner. It's a long day, but works out very nicely since AK tends to be the hottest park IMO.

Nope. I've been to Wet & Wild before, but I've never been to any of the Disney water parks...and I don't really have any desire to.

My boys are a little to young for me to take to a water park. I think they are fine at the resort slide. We are buying AP's for when they are 6 & 7 but I think when they are 8 we will upgrade to the PAP's and start going to the water parks and DQ.

I couldn't choose any of these choices. The water parks just aren't appropriate for my family at this stage. So a "they don't interest me" response might be best.

Weather and time of year are no barrier to me going swimming. Back home in Maine, any time the pond ain't frozen is swimming weather. And we don't go to water parks in New England, well, bcs they don't interest us at the moment.

I'm sure when DD is a bit older and a better swimmer, we'll be hitting TL and BB, but the most adventurous we'll get for the moment will be the Clown Slide at Luna Park at BWV.

We've done BB twice and TL once, and we really had a blast every time. We're hoping to go to TL on our upcoming trip, weather permitting.

We always have the options on our Park Hoppers, so we use them at least once or twice.... It's a nice break from the theme parks. You can have fun without every stepping foot on a slide. The wave pools are fabulous, and at Typhoon Lagoon the surf machine is great. There are plenty of small slides for non-swimmers and even toddlers. Even an older baby can enjoy the fountains and squrting water in the tot parks. They really do take all ages into account when planning these things. I see many of the older members of the family just chilling on a beach chair in the shade and reading a book. If you already have the option on your PHP or your UPH, I recommend giving it a try. There is something for everyone.
