I'm trying to decide if the DDP is a good idea for us if we stay at SSR.

Do many of you who stayed at SSR find yourselves eating at DTD restaurants most of the time? :confused3

When we were at SSR last December and this June we enjoyed walking to DTD and getting something there - usually Earl of Sandwich. It's always nice to find an inexpensive meal that tastes great. We also like walking there and just getting one of the wonderful pretzels, sitting and watching the people. We love SSR!!!!

We had the Dining Plan this last trip, (we stayed at OKW) and we used our TS at Wolfgang Puck Cafe.

I had the Woodfired filet :thumbsup2

We also used our CS credits at Artist Palette

SSR has TS at the Turf Club also, so I think the dining options are there.

OKW has Olivia's a boat ride away from SSR and then the resort busses are at DTD if you have ADR's elsewhere.

We just returned from a week-long visit that included the dining plan. I made my daily ADR's based on what theme park we would be visiting and it worked out really well. We only had two meals in the resort we were at. So, I'd say if you plan to do the entire WDW experience, the DDP would still be a great option. However, if you plan to veg out at the resort most of the time, you might get a little tired of not having more choices.

We did DDP at SSR. We were suprised with Turf Club. It was a great relaxing meal. Actally, we like it so much that it is the only restaraunt that we plan on returning to in January and we are staying at OKW.
Like Calypso, we also planned our meals around the parks. (or vice versa)

We had the dining plan during our last trip at SSR and it was great for us. We used our snack and most of our CS credits at Artist Pallette and one TS at Turf Club.

The other TS we used around the world.

We had the dining plan when we stayed at SSR in July. We used our credits at AP, Turf club and snack credits at AP and other dining was at the other resorts and parks. I thought that it was great because at AP the counter service credits were of such good quality. It wasn't the usual burger and fry exchange. The Turf club also was excellent. There also were some credits we could have used at DTD at that time but we just never had time (or belly space)to use them. NOt sure what is on there now but Raglan Road. Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck and Captian Jacks were on there at the time.
