Move to Iowa!

Haha - here I am am in Iowa and I LOVE it! weird!

I swore I'd always LEAVE Iowa. But my husband works for a grocery store chain that is mainly only in Iowa. There are a couple in Nebraska and Illinois. Now I panic at the thought of having to leave Iowa. As much as I love it, I don't understand why people would move here. What brought you here?

I swore I'd NEVER resort to wearing size 40 pants, but they sure fit more comfortable than the 38's!!!

Still live in Oregon. I always thought I'd move to California or somewhere warmer. But Oregon is actually just fine!

Another mini-van owner/driver here! Dh really tried to talk me out of it, had it a year now and we BOTH LOVE it!:teeth:

These posts make me worried. I always say that I will never drive a mini van, if I need the room when I have kids I will get a bigger SUV. Please no mini van for me!!!

When I didn't have kids of my own, there were lots of things I said I would never do when I had children. Guess what! I do almost all of them. (It's a whole new world when you're actually living it)

Happens to me too. Sometimes, I have to stop and look around to see if my Mom's standing there. Nope, it's me saying her words.

I tell my kids someday they will sound just like me. :scared:

Same here!!! I am glad I act like my mother though because to me she is the epitome of woman.

I see the way some of my friends parents act, dress, and sware and I am proud to act like a lady in this day and age.

Listen to 'old geezer' music. Can't stand that hard rock stuff anymore.:teeth:

I grew up in the QCA. I would move back there in a heartbeat, but I love where I live now also. :)

As to the OP-After the 1000th "why not" from my DD 2 weeks ago I said "Because I said so!"
I swore I would never say that because I hated it growing up.

When I was a teen I thought I'd never wake up early if I didn't have to.
Now I wake up early even when I don't have to.
DS(17) just said this morning he hopes that doesn't happen to him as he was rolling out of bed at noon! I've been up with DH since 5:45

rofl. I say things all the time that my mother used to say and sometimes do the things she would have done. I always swore I never would do that.

My family always teases me about it because its just so obvious. My grandmother thinks its hilarious.

One thing I can say is that my mom was a good and loving woman. I'm proud to be like her now. Hmmm another thing I never thought I would say lol.

Have a child!!!

She is a blessing though.

Oooh I'm scared now because I really do not think I'm going to have kids. I just don't want to raise kids. I like teaching them and playing and babysitting. I just don't want to be a mom.

I swore I'd never be one of "those people who are so into Disney!"

Really, when I was a kid, I thought Mickey was so corny. But then I went to WDW and all that changed!

Let my husband see me without make-up LOL
:p

I swore I would never act like my Mom, I'm her carbon copy in personality and looks - atleast she is gorgeous!:teeth:

::yes::- I smoke :crazy:

Friends used to offer cigarettes to me all the time when I was younger, and I'd always say "No, I'll never do that". Then one day, I got really upset, I was pretty depressed at the time, and I took a cigarette from my older sisters "stash". It calmed me down a lot so I started smoking one every time I got upset, since I was depressed, that was fairly often and now, I'm just completely addicted:sad2:

Let my husband see me without make-up LOL :p

I have this friend who won't fart in front of her husband. I don't know why, I just think that's really weird :p

I swore I would never be one of "those people" who chat with complete strangers on a computer.

Oops. :wave2:
