I was reading the cruise forum and it is a really big thing to decorate your door on the cruise. Well, I was thinking that I might do this on a small scale for our next trip. When we were at YC it was so difficult to find our room because of the looonnnggg hallways.

I am going to get the mickey heads from home depot and cut one out for each family member and put it on the door with magnets. We are staying at SSR and I know that it is easier for me to find the room when we are at resorts that have outside entry; but I thought the kids might like it.

Anyone else do this?

I have seen a few things on DVC doors. I decorated our DS's door on his birthday, he didn't leave it on :confused3

Beware that they may disappear. Our gift of a door magnet from the last members cruise was stolen, even though everyone had gotten one. I hope that doesn't happen to you.

We do for holidays. At Thanksgiving I hang a wooden turkey....not as gaudy as it sounds, and at Christmas we do a wreath. We also decorate the patio with christmas lights. I bring a magnetic hook with me. Yep - home away from home!

No, but we do put lights on our OKW balcony for the holidays. Actually, we do that any time in December and even in early January.

Only on the cruise. Got a sheet of paper sized magnet material from staples and printed (inkjet printer) a beach scene from VB and put our DIS name on it. DW uses the name DVCersFromVa and that's the name we used.

Yeh, for sure on the Cruise but not a bad idea for our upcoming Christmas time visit. Thanks for putting the thought out there; sometimes you just don't think of the obvious.

We go down for Halloween every year and we decorate our door as well as our balcony and our entire apartment. We put up lights and "caution - do not enter tape" and window clings and whatever else we can find. I also bring along my "Draucla Stitch" for the dinning room table.

We decorate for the cruise, but not at the resorts. I don't know exactly why not. I would put up XMAS lights during the holidays, but then I would have to book another trip in July just to come and take them down!!
