Do you coordinate your families clothes?

Tell me I am not the only one who does this SOLEY for the reason of looking good in the pictures! I have heard of groups matching so that they can spot one another but we (I) do it so that my pics don't come back with a mishmash of colors!

We saw a family last Monday on Main Street. They were all wearing navy t-shirts and on the back they read: Bob, Bob's Wife, Bob's Mother, Bob's Son, Bob's Other Son, Bob's Son's wife, etc. I think the family name was on the front. It was cute!

I do like the kids' Disney shirts to coordinate. Also I like them to wear shirts that match our ps'. Like for Crystal Palace they wore Pooh/Tigger shirts. I told a couple of friends this and now they think I am totally weird. But I must say the Princesses love it when my 8 year old daughter is wearing "their" shirt and Tigger gave my son a big hug and pointed to his shirt so I am still enjoying the fruits of my weirdness.

I match our shirts whenever I can. I got at great deal at the disney store last year after memorial day. I got a set of 5 shirts for $22 total! They looked great in our pictures!

I tried to convince my family to get matching Disney shirts on my last vacation and that idea ended with my son not wanting to wear pink and my daughter not wanting anything that didn't have a princess on it. I'm pretty sure my Dad would have been opposed to the pink n princess t-shirt too

LOL-I do the same thing! We don't clash in any of our WDW pictures!

I also "demanded" certain color balloons, cups, napkins, etc. at my son's recent birthday party (the establishment provided all of it) so my pictures would look good. Luckily the owner just laughed and was really cool about it.

We do this for a couple of reasons...
1. My youngest is a wanderer. Grown-ups can spot him easier if I say, "He's wearing a shirt like this." or someone says, "I just saw a boy with the same shirt on going that direction."
2. It's easier to tell which trip the pictures are from!
3. It makes planning funner.
4. We remember the trip each time we wear our shirt.

LOL! I am right there with you! I especially do it with the kids clothes, since most of my pics are of them.

My family would never cooperate. My DD plans carefully and has to dress according to how she "feels" each day. My DS grabs whatever is on top.

I would love it if DH would go along with the idea..I think it's kinda sweet... (this is real, the stuff I posted on "what do you like to wear to the parks" thread was my twisted humor ) DH and I do not go "matching", but we do normally go "coordinating and complementary)
on all of our days off together..he is a great DH

I suggested this prior to our last year's trip and was told "no way" by both DS (9) and DH (much older than 9). I thought it would be great for the photos, but have been out voted. This year I might just order some and SURPRISE everyone!

We are going to do matching shirts. I already have five sets. We do it because Mom, (Me) is a nerd. I also threaten to leave them at home and not take them if they don't agree.

I am also planning this for our next trip,the pictures look nice when everyone has matching shirts on....already have 2 sets bought and put up it will be a surprise...another matching set for dh and I for our 20th wedding anniversary will also be a surprise!

Goodness NO! I have always wondered how much is spent on buying all coordinating shirts. I know that some T shirts can be as cheap as $5 apiece, but multiplied by the number of people in the party and the number of days you will be there, it can still add up!

There is no way hubby would go for it. Maybe if DD asked him and batted her eyes, but not sure if she would even be game.

We are going to get matching polo shirts with "Team our last name" embroidered on the front. I got the idea from friends of ours who wear these shirts on planes whenever they travel.

(Now - enforcing the "Thou shalt wear this shirt" commandment may require some extra encouragement for my oldest dd )

I really like the Bob, Bob's wife, Bob's son idea. very cute.

I have always wondered how much is spent on buying all coordinating shirts. I know that some T shirts can be as cheap as $5 apiece, but multiplied by the number of people in the party and the number of days you will be there, it can still add up!

3 sets I bought at TDS for 5.99 with 30% off. Plus I get another 30% off for being a TCP employee. That equals 3.18 a shirt after taxes. I have four people to buy for that equals $12.72 for a total of 38.16 for the 5.99 shirts.

2 sets I bougt a 3.99 with 30% off with my extra 30% equal 2.22 per shirt, equals $8.88 a set which is $17.76 after taxes.

For a grand total of $55.92 for 20 shirts. I think it is a great deal, and I would have bought clothes anyway. It actually saves me money.
