We collect different sets of ornaments and decide that year which to use.

We collect angels, any and all, from $1.00 straw angels to $$ glass angels.

We collect hand blown glass ornaments, any style, brand, designer, anything that we like.

Now I thin I want to collect animal and marine themed ornaments. I don't know.

I think I just want to buy things. LOL! :o :teeth:

How about you? :) Do you collect Christmas ornaments, if so, tell us what you collect! :)

If you can and you want, post a picture of your ornaments or ones you'd like! :)

I collect the Disney Storybook Ornmants.

My tree is all characters. Sesame, Disney, Looney Tunes..but mostly disney.

It suits us and we all love it.

I actually collect Black angels and Spiderman ornaments!

Hi, Maggie! :wave2:

I'm a Hallmark Ornament JUNKIE!!!! I've been collecting since my mother gave me my first one in 1987 (thanks mom, FEED my OBSESSION!). I always get the "son" ornament and then I get him ornaments (sometimes from Santa too) that he is interested in (Spiderman, Disney, other characters). I am ALWAYS in the middle of some series that Hallmark ALWAYS has and then I usually START at least one new series a year. WHY? I don't know, but let me say that I have not gotten ONE ornament yet this year (I am usually at the grand premier of the ornaments in July) and I do not have even one in lay-away. So I feel that I've admitted my problem and I am starting to work on it!@!! Now, mind you, I can't go cold turkey, I HAVE to get my "son" ornament and various other series ornaments (can't have an incomplete SERIES!) But I'm going to really focus on NOT starting any new series this year and limiting my other purchases to ones that I REALLY REALLY want, as opposed to those that are just cute and fun.

I know, I have a problem.

I collect snowmen ornaments any and all kinds.

My newer collection is the s'mores, they are so darn cute.

I also have a pink collection, all different kinds of ornaments.

OCM -- I like the Lion King series. If Universal has a Christmas decked Shrek ornament, I might have to get one.
:p

Hey Robin! :wave2: I like faceless angels for some reason. :confused3

joshsmom -- Jeanette here on the DIS started a thread about those ornaments after she got back from the premiere! Stay away from the thread! ;) LOL! :p But some of those ornaments are cute!

DD2Disney - I just saw those s'mores yesterday and fell in love with them! They are adorable! LOL! :p I love snowmen too! I started collecting them but stopped. I don't know why? Maybe I'll have to start up again because of those s'mores! :p

I am like joshsmom ~~ I collect Hallmark ornaments. Every year there are new ones to add to your series, or the start of a new series. My beloved sister started us all on the Hallmark collecting kick by becoming a "Hallmark junkie" in the late 1970's. Her 11ft tree was covered in them exclusively, and she had crates of others that didn't get put up.

My tree has a mix ~ but Hallmarks are my favorites.

Houses. I buy small blown glass house ornaments, have some straw ones too. Can't help it, it's what I always look for. It's an addiction.

I buy a Christopher Radko ornament every year. I love the snowman ones

I love hearing about everybody's ornaments!

Here is one of the S'more ornaments sledding! LOL! :p

We usually buy a new Hallmark Ornament every year... something that reflects the year, or interests we have. This year I know we'll be buying the new Tinkerbell one for my youngest DD.

Saffron - I dont have that one yet. This year we are getting Bambi, Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, and Pinocchio. And whatever the baby is, we will get one for them too.

I have given the Mickeys Christmas Carol one out to people for gifts all the time. I think that one is my favorite.

We each get one for St Nicholas Day then, that weekend we put our tree up and everyone that can will put their ornaments up.

Like I said, it works for us.:D

It's not exactly an ornament but....I collect christmas tealight houses. They are EXTREMELY hard to find. I don't want the kind that uses lightbulbs, I want an entire village of tealight christmas houses. If anyone knows where to find them please enlighten me!

I'm mainly a Hallmark collector but I do have other brands. Usually the other brands are within the themes that I collect. I have lots these ornaments besides Disney, Dolls (mostly Madame Alexander & Barbie), Snoopy, Star Wars & Patriotic are ones that I can think of right now.

I've decided that since I've spent so much money they are not something to be out only at Christmas. I do have more than enough for several trees but only the ones with Christmas themes are boxed and saved. The rest are displayed or at least that's my goal. Still working on it and maybe for the rest of my life, my DD started counting the other day when I was putting some new ones up and got to over 200 before she stopped. I have a few around the house. I collect other things too so they are mixed in with those things.

I'm working on the wall that has most of my Disney ornaments displayed so there are some things in the wrong places or not finished. I'll put a picture up of it as soon as I have it at least the current projects done.

I do have a picture of one of the displays in my office on the computer. These are some of the Cinderella ornaments I have. They are Hallmark but from different years.

I have lots of different old world style Santas- from super cheapies to pretty nice ones. Lots of them on the tree, and lots of figurines around the house. They wind up on the mantle, on coffee tables, on the piano, hanging on the walls, and a couple are so large they stand sentry on the floor in the entry way.

And lots of golden stars- big ones, small ones, wire, ceramic, blown glass.

I collect ornaments that are either snowmen or have snowmen on them. I've been referred to as a snowman freak, between the ornaments I've got and the snowmen that are all over my room, even now in July.
I also get a new ornament everytime we go to WDW, or shop in DTD. Usually something with the year of the trip on it, or that just reflects what I like at the time. This year when we were shopping in DTD I got one with the castle in a Mickey-ear shaped American flag.

I am collecting the Disney storybook ornaments for my dad.
For my own tree, I collect victorian style ornaments. Since we travel to Disney every year between Thanksgiving and christmas, I began a tradtion of buying a christmas ornament for each year, in some sort of shell form. I now have enough to decorate another tree with all our shell ornaments. :D

We have quite a collection of Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments....over 2500...

we've been collecting since 1975....and I have been able to find a few from 1973 & 1974....

It's fun....but way too many to display... the Kids will be getting a bunch soon...

Oldest DS is quite fond of the Tin Train series that started in 1982...I can't say I blame him...it's one of myfavorite series..

DD likes the Angel & critter ones...especially the cats...

youngest DS is fond of the vehicle ones...and me being a corvette/car nut...i have them all...

I have 3 of the "Country Angel's " that got recaled...one per kid....

and a 1977 "Grandma Moses"....I guess it's a rare one...

oh well...as i said...it's fun...

We usually have a lot of the kids homemade ones from when they were small that get put up, but as they are now 14 and 15, we have started putting those treasures away.
I have many hand made ones. Each year, I would make one kind and attach it to gifts, keeping one for our tree. I have a few from co-workers that they have made and given me over the years.
We also get an ornament from where ever we go on vacation, so that when we put the tree up, it has lots of memories.
We do have some Hallmark ones that G-ma gives each year, but no particular theme there, whatever strikes her fancy that year.
