Do you call to check Waitlist?

Is there any way to see the waitlist request on the website? We waitlisted part last year (individual days scattered through a week for a studio). The waitlists came through so quickly I never needed to check.

This year we have 3 days at the beginning of the trip. After reading the previous comment about a waitlist never being made, I'm slightly concerned...

No, I don't believe. This is my first time waitlisting and it's only for a day. The first CM thought it would be no problem and it'll come through but I called MS yesterday and didn't get a strong vibe that it would since nothing else (1 bed, 2bed, or studio) was available. Now I'm trying to figure out what resort to put in for my second choice. Good luck!
BTW...I'll be traveling through Newark later today...small world!

I was put on a waitlist on March 4 for Kidani Studio SV and booked at Jambo Studio SV and looked yesterday on the DVC website and it was there - 6 days later - I never saw a place anywhere that said I was waitlisted. I really wasn't expecting to get it - my kids are so excited.

We're currently waitlisted in late Sept (renting points). We have a reservation for half the time in the room we want. The other half is under a second confirm # and has the waitlist attached. If the waitlist comes through, will there still be 2 confirm #s or will it all get grouped together under 1 reservation?

On my last trip I called to check availability and the room that I was waitlisted for was available, but it had not been applied to my waitlist. Anyway, as soon as she said it was available I had her book it and cancel my waitlist.

I think this is odd, because more than 1 person at member services told me computer makes the match for the waitlist before it becomes available to anyone.

How long ago did this occur.

I just had 2 and a third waitlist fill automatically, no calls involved, so it does work.

What is the new waitlist procedure changes? I am clueless and am waitlisted for the very first time.

My last trip was Sept of 08. I believe it was about three months before we left.
