Do you buy something each time you visit as a "tradition"?

OK, I admit, I am a WDW addicit! I started a snow globe collection years ago and now have almost 100. They are not all out at the same time - some are seasonal - so I had to cut drastically back on those. I also would get a magnet each time so now the ref. became over run with magnets so now I buy the ones from F&W and Flower & Garden only.

Have a pin collection but not into vinylmations characters.

Check my car and 90% of the CDs are WDW from Illuminations, Wishes, music from the parks, etc. Listen to them all the time. I always have something Disney on from my jewerly to tops so can always use a new sweatshirt or earrings. We have a Disney tree which I now cannot fit all the ornaments on so I started buying for others.

I do stop the day we are leaving and bring home a couple of pastries so thatI can enjoy them the next day after work and just wish I was back at WDW. All in all, I can always find something to bring the magic home!

Yes!! I am a huge fan of my Disney coffee mugs and buy one every year!!! I love them!! And having so many I feel close to the magic every morning and night when I have my coffee each day!!!!

We buy a set of mouse ears if we have a new arrival somewhere in the family.

And we buy dated pins and pins from each new resort we stay at.

We always come home with something :rotfl: Though honestly never the same type of thing. We only buy something unique that we love, that we can use/display, whether it is a print, a t-shirt or whatever.

We always buy a new ornament for our tree. We usually also buy each of our three children one which I put away and give them at Christmas. In the early years I often bought many ornaments for our tree, but we have so many now that I try to limit it to one.

I also buy a dated ornament each visit.

A few years ago I started buying the watercolor pictures at OKW. This past trip I bought 2 in EPCOT in Canada, got a couple of nice frames at Costco and they look beautiful in the foyer! It makes me smile when I walk past them.
I will have to pick another country next visit or maybe a few from SSR.

My wife and i usually will save to buy one big thing, last time we bought a beautiful hand carved end table from one of the artists in Animal Kingdom.

I guy an ornament for each year and one for my son that represents an event in his life. Soccer mickey head ornament and this year football mickey head ornament - that did not make it home in one piece. I think it was broken before we left as I had them delivered to the resort. :headache:

We also buy the transportation bus for the year, a pin for the holiday or resort and a special Mickey Mouse for the current "holiday" or from the countries.

I always come home with a new set of ears. I think I've bought a pair every single visit. The last two visits, I ended up buying two pairs; one traditional style with the strap and one headband style. I intended on getting a pair monogrammed but I didn't this time. I think I want the Peter Pan hat next!

We have been buying picture frames. I print my favorite picture from the trip and use it the frame. :)

We love Disney (of course!) and were just talking to friends of ours who also go frequently, and they showed us their collection of snow globes that they have been collecting for years--they buy a new snow globe every visit as a tradition. My DH and I were talking and thought it was such a cute idea (and we are many visits behind in doing this but hey, it's a good a time as any to start!)...so what kind of traditions do you have when it comes to memorabilia? Anything specific that you like to collect? Just looking for ideas for our next visit, which won't be for a while, but I'm a planner! LOL

I started collecting them in 2007 but had many trips under my belt by then. LOL I love them. :)

Oh we do this too...have gotten ornaments pretty much every trip. :thumbsup2

Every trip we have our kids picture etched into glass blocks with Walt Disney World and the date etched in too. DH brings back ornaments but I don't get to see them till Christmas. DS gets a pin with the date, a pin from the resort we stay at, and a pin to remind him of his favorite thing from that trip.

I do that too. :) That's typically all I'll buy depicting the year.

I definitely buy shot glasses, and sometimes an ornament. Since I have shot glasses from each park, I've moved on to shot glasses from specific rides.

My wife is a huge fan of snow globes. 2011 was her first time to WDW and I bought her a large snow globe with the monorail going around the base to commemorate our trip. We are going again next month and I think we are going to make the snow globes a tradition.

I usually buy a few pins for my pin board, sometimes I trade pins. Used to buy Christmas ornaments and Mugs, not so much anymore. Have recently been buying small beanie size Mickeys in different outfits, I have Jedi Mickey, Woody Mickey, Christmas Mickey etc. Similar to another post, I have also bought Disney themed photo frames and Disney CDs. Never was into the vinyl mickey's or into the Duffy bear.

I did two scrapebooks for my Sis & family as a Christmas gift and I bought a ton of scrapebook stuff one year.

We usually get the current resort pin for where we stayed, and new coffee cups for everyone. It saves bringing them with us, as the ones in the villas are tiny, and we're all big coffee drinkers. At least this way we bring the coffee pot with us, and bring new cups home :)

I buy one pin that is unique to our trip or holds a "first" for us. All the pins go in a shadow box. Some of the ones I have include Hoop Dee Doo for the first time we went there; an Indiana Jones ride pine from a trip to DL, a segway tour pin for the trip where we took the segway tour; a Korean performer from the time we went to Cirque, and a German flag Mickey for the trip we went on with our German foreign exchange student.

They make an inexpensive souvenir that is easy to pack and easy to display at home.
