Just wondering how many of you buy new clothes for you upcoming trips to WDW? I went out yesterday and bought a couple of outfits for our trip in April. I happened to go to Ross and found some summer/ spring clothes but no luck for the others in the family the stores haven't really started to stock it yet. I try to by as far in advance as possible to help not to spend so much $ the month we leave, any of you run it to this problem too?

I usually buy new packages of socks for everyone, toothbrushes and a few new tshirts. I try to start buying about 6 months before our trip and do a little at a time.

I do..I like to get a cute Disney outfit for each day. I got some really cute things off Ebay this time around.

Um, yes. ;) I like to get customs made for the girls to reflect each day's theme. My mom sews, so I can design a few ideas for her to actually make; I have a friend who does a wonderful job sewing, and she helps too. I also shop on Etsy and Ebay.

Oh yes! I start shopping for our trips as soon as the stores start putting out spring and summer things. I've already ordered me a new bathing suit from Lands End last Saturday and it should arrive tomorrow or Thursday. This weekend my family is going skiing for the weekend and we usually do some shopping in between hitting the slopes. About a month before our trip we hit our local indoor outlet mall and buy everything from swimsuits, outfits to flip-flops and shoes. Vacation shopping just gets us really excited for the trip and it seems that much closer.

i do. especially warmer weather clothes. cute disney outfits are coming out in a few stores so i buy a tad each week prior to our trip.

I usually buy new Disney t-shirts for me & my kids. I find them either at the Disney Store or Walmart. I don't like to spend much money on them and can sometimes find great deals at the Disney Store (like $2.99 each!). Just yesterday I found a cute girl's shirt at Walmart that was turquoise with the characters from Toy Story - $7.00. We don't wear matching shirts at the parks, but if we're at MK, we'll all wear some kind of Mickey or Minnie shirt.

I definitely use vacations as an excuse to shop for new clothes...
Luckily I've been planning our May/June trip since last year, I totally went overboard on the summer clearance clothes in the fall. The kids have tons of new clothes and some pieces were only $2-3!! I'll probably have a hard time limiting myself when I'm packing! :rotfl2:

When my girls were younger, I'd buy them their color coordinated summer wardrobes just before the trip. One daughter was always in pink/orange, the other in blue/green. The Children's Place used to have inexpensive, pretty outfits, and Land's End was great too. I did this for 3 of our trips - at one point they even had new, matching, princess day of the week underwear :rotfl: For a while the kids loved to match, then they got a bit older and rebeled a bit.

Out last family trip the girls were teenagers - they joked about how their clothes didn't match, and how were the pictures going to look?

Oh, yes, much to my husband's dismay! I always have custom Disney outfits made for my girls for each trip and I color coordinate us all every day.

Yep!:thumbsup2

I shop the Disney Store clearance racks all year and get all of our vacation t-shirts there. Can't beat $3 shirts!

I have a "Vacation Bin" that I use to hold the things I buy all year long. New clothes, toys, extra memory cards for the camera, activities for the plane, funky snacks, Disney gift cards, toiletries....basically, everything we take with us is in that bin by the time we're ready to pack it all in the suitcases.

For me, planning for a vacation is a never-ending process.

Here's a picture of some of our outfits. I have spent a lot of money, but I've resold most of them on Ebay:

Thank You!:cool1: Just ordered the 3 cutest Disney outfits I have ever seen!
My dd will be adorable!!!

This upcoming trip I plan on purchasing a lot more outfits as it will be the 1st trip that I will not be pregnant!:cool1:
I have already bought quite a few items for our DD & plan to have a disney theme outfit for her almost everyday.
Now the hard part is finding disney themed stuff for my DS who will be 10 months old when we go.

I buy a couple new shirts for each of us.. and new PJ's & sweatshirts for the kids. And we all get new walking shoes a month or so before we go.

However, I do buy new socks and undies for AFTER the trip. I know it sounds weird to some people, but we bring our old stuff on vacation and after we wear it, we just toss it in the garbage. Then when we get home, we have some new things to wear.
I tell DH that when I find a hole starting in a sock, it's time to go on vacation! :cool1:

We do a little at a time. We shopped clearance last year and got great matching outfits for our kids and our friends kids. The boys match and the girls match and they have 2 or 3 outfits that all match.

I'm just starting to buy clothes for the kids for our July trip. I do it every year - lots of new clothes that they are not allowed to wear until Disney. That includes shoes, new underwear, new socks, new hair things etc.

I'm pretty much a shopaholic when it comes to the kids clothes. Of course they are so used to it by now. I remember when older dd was 7 I heard her telling her little brother (3) those clothes hanging up are our "Disney" clothes!

DH and I dont buy much new things for us before a trip, but DS has a new outfit for each day. This trip it seems like we are buying more clothes/things than usual, but it's all stuff we need.

We get some stuff, mostly for the kids. We normally travel in the winter and we usually have to get the kids some summer stuff that fits. A couple of new shirts for DH and I.

I love to stock up on matching shirts on sale so I buy them when I see them and put them in the Disney box. I got cute ones at ON for next year and I don't have a trip planned yet!
I do get customs when I can, but we definitely have a theme each day with coordinating shirts.
everyone gets new socks, more comfy to walk all day.
I have bought the 7 pack of princess panties for the girls to have new ones each day.

But, I save dh's old underwear so we can toss it instead of bringing it back home. I have 4-5 pair set aside so it must be time to go! LOL
