Do you bring your purse to WDW?

No purse, I just put everything i need in my pockets. DH takes a backback though, he needs his little cooler for his meds and we also use it for water bottles, camera, and any small purchases we make where it's a small enough item that package delivery isn't worth it. If it wasn't for the meds, we likely would be bagless.

BarbieGal: Maybe I will run into you on tPF one day. I won't get into my lvoe for LV here (people might think we are strange :lmao:). I totally understand your speedy story. I can't imagine the look on a CM's face - "what do you mean "it" can't get wet?!?! My user ID is Solai.

Cheers.

Well, I have little kids, but we carry a large high quality backpack that distributes weight well (DH and I take turns holding it). I take a handful of cards (my license, my ATM card and our insurance cards) and put them in a wallet in my backpack. I like a backpack with lots of compartments so things are easily found (diaper backpacks are great for this). My purse (and diaper bag too) stays home. We keep our KKTW cards and FPs in a pouch hanging from a lanyard.

No purse...just a Disney backpack.

No I do not, but I do take a backpack.

::yes::

I packed last night and good grief! :faint: For three days is looks more like 6 or 7! But I hear traveling with a little one does that. I have two backpacks I'm taking, but will only carry one into the parks with us. I have Tigger and I have Toy Story! :) The Toy Story one is bigger, but the Tigger one has like 3 compartments and seems a bit lighter. So I suppose, once again, Tigger wins!:tigger:

I use a purse that has a strap long enough that it can be worn cross-body both for security while walking around the parks and also so if there is no place to put my bag on a ride it is pretty well attached to me. I make sure it has a zipper (again for security) and don't carry much in it -- just my ID, Key to the World Card (which has my room key, tickets and credit card info on it for buying stuff), some cash, sunscreen (aerosol so it's light weight), purell, advil and camera.

But be very aware of this:

Be advised that at Universal/Islands of Adventure, for the big rides, they force you to put the bag in a locker -- so I leave it in the car (and simply miss my things for a while). But my Universal time is limited, so it isn't a big deal to me. Universal does offer limited time free lockers while you are on a big ride and pay lockers if you wish.

I was surprised and annoyed by this the first time I went to Universal, but quickly got used to it. It's better if you know that in advance!

I've used fanny packs, backpacks, crossbody bags, etc. This year, I'm thinking of getting this vest from Scottevest. It's got all these pockets, and it would mean I don't have to carry anything!

I typically don't. We carry a backpack in the parks (have a toddler), so that is what we use. However, since the arrival of D&B stuff, i have started carrying one of those- the crossover purses, small, compact and just big enough for my little camera, iphone, and credits/money. I really loved it this last trip. now i plan to carry that each trip. My DH still carries our backpack with our ponchos, snacks, extra clothes for my son (recently potty trained).

we do carry the backpack and purse with us on the rides. it is no big deal. If one of us is sitting out, we hand it off to that person.

I carry a leather shoulder bag with an adjustable strap that can convert to a cross-body bag. It's drum-dyed smooth leather, so it handles most things well. Probably wouldn't be the ideal bag to set in a puddle, but no problems to date in 10 years of use! The bag is about 10" wide x 8" high and 2.5" deep.

Most of my clothing doesn't have pockets. I have to carry reading glasses, sunglasses, contact lens solution (travel size), tissues, tiny mirror, small bottle of sunscreen, etc., so pockets aren't very practical, in any case!

I eliminate all non-essentials prior to leaving home for my WDW holiday--mostly stuff for work, but some daily stuff (car keys if taking shuttle or towncar, etc.) that doesn't apply to my holiday and add my bottle strap! :)

I have an Overland mini bag. It's a cross body bag. I use this instead of a purse on my Disney Vacations. And I use a passporter pouch for money, tickets ect..

On my last day I do carry a backpack because I can't send stuff to the room then and that's when I'm finishing my shopping. It's easier to put bags in a backpack then carry them around the park.
When your hands are all sweaty or it starts to rain, those blue shopping bags stain your hands. Blech.

I'm lucky! When we are on vacation (at WDW or anywhere else), my DH is in charge of carrying everything. No purse, no backpack. My week of freedom of bags.

I use a smaller across-the-body purse, for the most part. Holds the "basics" (small wallet, tickets, sunglasses, phone) -- stuff I need to access all day long. I also supplement with a small backpack as needed.

I leave my "regular" purse at home.

Yes! I couldn't live without it. I have to carry jackets, water bottles, snacks, maps, entertainment for long lines....

There are always places to put things during rides, whether it be by your feet or in a little compartment in front of you, you'll be fine.

Always have my coach leather small backpack. I only use it for WDW. Stylish, yet practical. Handles all weather and still looks good 6 years later.
