Do you bring your own towels?

Just wondering, do you bring your own towels from home for the pools/water parks. We are a family of 7 and that is a lot of room in our suitcases if we don't have to bring them.
Thanks!

You don't have to as you can rent them...however they are the same small towel and are $1 each. Others have said they took hotel towels however not sure about how 'legal' that is!

Of course you could always be like me and buy one when you get there!! :rotfl: Then its just a problem of getting it home!

Every year we bring an extra suitcase with beach towels but this year we may just use resort towels. As long as you make sure to bring them back, they end up in the same laundry anyway.

When we traveled to WDW and were doing a Water Park, I would bring large beach towels with us, but never had 7 people, that would be a lot of towels.
If you are staying at a WDW resort, take the towels from the pool area and drop them off at the towel dispose, they all end up at the same place to be cleaned.
Yes it is legal.

stop at the beach for two or three days after WDW. We bring towels for that part of the trip and use them for a water park visit. We just use the resort towels for everyday.

We drive everytime so we have plenty of room. I don't think I would pack them if flying. The cost at the water parks is not bad.

If you have small children you might want to bring a towel from your room for MK and Epcot also to dry off after playing in the splash areas. Last year before the one at MK was done, we were in Epcot and my children had a wonderful time on the splash pad between Future World and World Showcase. I normally have extra clothes for my toddler, but I was sitting there all proud of myself for also packing additional clothes for my 9 year-old and not having to deny her this fun with her little brother.

Then I had a face palm moment when suddenly I realized I had not brought a towel from our room. Fortunately there was a stand within sight of the splash area that was selling them (smart thinking) and I just ducked over and got one and could still see them the whole time. I’m not sure how wet one can get at the Casey Jr. water area at MK as we haven’t seen it yet, but my two were soaked after playing in the Epcot one…too soaked to just dry off in the sun.

I got extra towels from the resort's front desk for pool time. That way the ones in our room were dry for after baths.

No. The pools have towels available. When we go to the WP, we usually buy 2 towels there and then bring them home. 2 is plenty for our family of 4 since you dry off pretty quickly in the heat. The kids get a rational souvenir that we can use at home. I would think packing towels for 7 would be difficult.

We bring colorful towels to the water parks. We spread them out on our chairs, and we can easily find our seats when the parks are super crowded, and everyone's lounge chair looks the same.:beach:
