I believe.

My most recent experience was in my kitchen last year. I was wiping brownie crumbs off the counter. A knife raised up out of the pan of brownies and slammed down on the counter. It almost hit my hand and the cloth I was using to clean. I screamed and my 20yo son came running. As I was telling him what happened and he was starting to scoff, we both watched as a cereal bowl raised up out of the sink about 8 inches and slammed back down. There was absolutely no explanation for these two things happening. None. My son was freaked out for days, and still talks about it.

It's not something I talk about too much as I don't usually like peoples reactions. I never even told my husband about the other times until after this last experience. He's known me long enough to know I'm telling the truth, but he was quite shocked.

Yes, the house I grew up in had a ghost. She was a friendly ghost, though, she never did anything bad. I saw her once and my dad saw her a couple times.

newmousecateer, I totally agree with you!

I've often heard that in order to see ghosts you have to first believe. Have any of you gone from strong skeptics to firm believers?

Yes, my DH was always a STONG SKEPTIC! Even after we moved into our "haunted house" it took him a year or so to actually talk about some of his experiences. He would never discuss anything of a "ghostly" nature with me, ever. When I was Pregnant with our first DD, at my first Ultrasound I was alone with the tech. and looked over to see my mom's mom standing next to me crying, she told me I was going to have a beautiful little girl and then disappeared. Afterward the Tech. told me it was a girl (we had no idea before this) and when I told DH what happened he told me I was just emotional and probably "thinking" about my Grandmother.

After a year of living in our current house, however, he is now a firm believer! He says it freaks him out sometimes but realizes they are not here to hurt or scare us, so he seems ok with it now.
