I just got cable t.v. for the first time in my life. I am addicted to Gjost Hunters and all those other ghost shows.

While I believe they exist, I just don't know WHY they are here. I am a Christian and believe that you move on after life. Why wouldn't God take care of everyone?

I do...we've had lots of crazy things happen in my house.

At first, I was the only one to experience them (before kids). Then DH started having all the same experiences I did. Then he saw a figure of an old man hunched over on our bed one night. I was so, so happy because then he'd stop telling me I was the crazy one.

Then we had kids. As soon as they could talk, my kids started telling me about things that have happened to them, and about the "old man"that lives in DS's room.

Every morning at 3 am (actually 3:06 am on the nose) my doorbell rings by itself. I once popped the batteries out of it to get some rest and it still rang.:rotfl:

Daily occurances for the last 12 years has convinced me.

I do.

too many experiences - with my DD was she was younger and of family members that I trust(including the ringing doorbell thing as above!!!) - not too believe.

:)

Maybe we have free will in life and after death. Maybe we move on when we choose to move on.

I'm not sure. I've heard some convincing stories and seen some very convincing pictures so I lean towards yes, they do exist.

After my grandma died our doorbell rang by itself too.

I absolutely believe in their existence. My mom has one at her house and I know I have had one at my house, my DS and several of his friends saw it. I once had a Tazmanian Devil toy in my car that had a button to activate it. It hung from my rear view window. One day as I stopped at a bakery on the way home it went crazy. I know it was my grandmother that turned it on. When I apologized for not being able to go to her bakery anymore because it no longer existed Taz stopped making noise. I could not get it to turn off when I tried. My DGS's favorite story is when I stopped the car in the middle of the street because I swore someone was jogging in front of me. I was the only person who saw the figure. I later found out that someone had been hit by a car and died at that location while jogging a few years earlier. I have seen them and I believe.

yes i believe - both my sister and my aunt have "seen/heard" from past relatives - guess they're both open to it, whereas i'm not - glad i've never been "visited" - would freak me out

I'm not sure WHAT they are or WHY they are.... but I believe there is something that we just can't or won't understand.

I agree. I think there is something, what it is I have no idea. Even in the bible, they ask Jesus if he's a ghost and he says something like no for ghosts are not of flesh and blood. He didn't say no there is no such thing.

My DD asked me at one point if I believed in aliens. I gave her the same answer I'd give about ghosts: I don't not believe in ghosts. I personally have never had a ghost experience & I'm not sure that I believe in them. However, I have friends who have had experiences that I cannot totally discount so I can't say that they are wrong.

I totally do. I've posted here before about my DD who saw a picture of my father and called him by name, saying that she saw him often in the window, and that he was sad. We had left my father when I was 3 years old, and I only saw him twice more before he died when I was 11. He was an abusive alcoholic, and since I really have no memory of him, I had NEVER spoken of him - let alone his name! - to my 3 year old daughter.

I have had too many experiences to mention in one post, but I will tell about my most recent experience. There may be a logical explanation for it, but it was strange none the less.

I was visiting my daughter, who has a 9 month old little girl. I slept on the couch right next to a large play area with baby toys. The first night I was there I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night. I thought I heard someone talking to me. My heart started beating fast, but I was able to go back to sleep.

The last night I was there I woke up and heard music. There is this toy in the play area that a baby can use to stand up. It has several buttons. Each one plays a different song when pressed. Well, I woke up to a song being played. I thought, "this is strange," but I was tired and tried to go back to sleep. The toy stopped, then played a different song. Then it just wouldn't quit. It played one song after another, but not the same song in a row.

I finally had to get up and turn the darn thing off. When I asked my daughter about it in the morning, she said it had never done that before. My daughter had previously told me that a few strange things had happened to her. Like she would go out of her bedroom and into her bathroom, when she would return to her bedroom several minutes later some of her dresser drawers would be open. Things like that.

I don't think of it as ghost, but as a sensitivity certain people are open to, along with the love ones on a frequency we are sensitive to.

I wass skeptical, then I had the same incidence as a prior poster tht the dd had asked about calling her name.

Mygrandma lived with my parents. One night I was still awake at 4 AM ish. I heard, "Sissy-Sis". I got up and went into the kitchen thinking grandma walked over. I was called Sis, as were all my sisters by my Dad......My dd4 was always called Sissy.

A few minutes later dd4 came down and asked who was caller her name. I got her back in bed. My Dad called moments later saying grandma had passed.

I never shared this story until at the dinner after my Dad's passing where his brother and wife sat. These folks are total skeptic non-believer types and would debunk anything.

After I shared my story, my Uncle and Aunt looked at each other and told me this; The night my Grandma passed away they heard her in the doorway to theor bedroom calling my Uncle, they got up thinking she came down from my parents house up the road. They looked in the bed room and no one was there. Shortly they got the phone call that grandma had passed.

This was the first they had confirmation to collaberate their own story,

A few weeks after Dad passed, I had an experiance. On the back of the toilet I had a porciline Cupid holding a soap dish in an uplifted hand. It had clips for hot rollers on it. As I sat the thing slid across the lid, about 10 or more inches and fell into a waste basket. I said, "Dad, if you go out in the living room I will be out and watch nightline."

When I saw my Aunt and Uncle that week, they told me the same day they were on the side enclosed porch and heard someone call my Uncle by his shortened first name, only my Family did that, not neighbors, or distant relatives.....They got up and went to the living room front door expecting someone there. The Uncle went out and looked around, my Aunt went out the back thinking if it was a neighbor they would be there..... No one was there, anywhere.

We wonder if it is the Lithuanian heritage, or just exactly what....But, it did happen.

We also had a little girl over 60 years ago hit by a car in front of our house. Often on the swingset in the back yard, there is one swing that frequently swings. Nothing else....just the one swing,,,,,,,we site for a long time just watching it.
Trying to debunk it....
Have an open mind and maybe you have a frequency that is tuned to loved ones too.

PS. I lost a dd 2 years ago, I thrive on the thoughts of her nearness. I can smell the scent of lavander, and violets. Overwhelming at times until I am dizy.
We are in a court case over her loss as negligence and often records just seem to be in my hands that are her notes that relate to her treatment, problems and criticle documentation I never knew exsited, but I had and was just apearing in places I would never look, as I did not know what to even look for.
I pray to find peace for her, and prevent other families from loss due to this product.

Disneymarie, I believe your daughter is still with you. :grouphug:

I wanted to mention one more incident because it was also recent.

I was looking through all of my photo albums a couple of weeks ago to pick out some old photos to put on my facebook. As I was going through the photos, I came across several relatives who had passed on. As I looked at those, memories of them came back to me.

After I had chosen some photos, my son (13 yrs) came up to me and told me that he felt like someone was right behind him. He told me that it felt so strange and happened two times. I did not tell him about the pictures because the last thing I need is for him to think it was real.

thank you so much Bluestar :) I think your son has a sensitivity to feel the family that is watching over and caring still.

The only thing about feeling or sensing DD, I want more. TO hold here, braid her hair, buy her the third POTC movie. she is missing her nephews growing up and little sister too.

I recently signed the Attorney fee agreement taking on a large company, so that no other family has to lose a loved one....
My dd (13) has had the most dfficult time. she is moderatly agoraphobic, school phobia, and constantly fearful of her health and dying. Severe panic/anxiety attacks.

In one week it was her rapidly developing breast, she must have googled breastlumps, and called me upset that she has breast cancer, then her back, armpits to the chest burned and hurt so bad; she developed shingles, today it was her throat, along her neck a hard feeling and she thought she had thyroid cancer.
We can talk about past trips or things we did as a family, but can not discuss her sister in a way as seeing her again.

She has been attempting therapy, but is not cooperative in admitting there is a problem. She feels she has a right to feel as she wants without anyone analyzing her. She will not take medication, takes only childs dose of tylenol if ill.

Her sister was injured severly years ago and had many ongoing health issues.
