Do you believe in ESP?

Glad you're doing well! I wouldn't call that experience ESP though, sounds like intuition. I think we all have intuition, probably evolved as a survival instinct.
I didnt call it ESP. As I said earlier in the thread, I dont get too hung up on the semantics of what to call any of these things. But I do believe they are all a form of sensitivity that you either believe in and pay attention to, or you dont.

Actually, if it's someone I know personally (as opposed to a telemarketer) I pretty much do know every single time the phone rings. I can say to DH "You answer that because it's going to be your sister and she wants to talk to you". Freaks him out a little.

When my mother was failing over the summer, I used to know when the phone rang when it was going to be her calling to tell me she wasn't feeling well vs. calling to chat.

But no, if it's Jake from State Farm, I don't know that it's specifically him calling because, unlike the guy on the TV commercial, I have no close personal relationship with Jake. ;)

As I have said, I think the human mind is capable of a lot more than we think. I think a lot of things that happen are truly not explainable by science. But that's just me. YMMV.

Yup! 99.9 percent of the time creeps my Dh out too! I usually get a heads up either a nonsensical dream the night before or a strong thought about them.

I believe in ESP. My grandmother was very "fey" (an Irish term meaning to have visionary powers; clairvoyance) and she always knew when things were going to happen or when people were going to die. My sister & I are also pretty sensitive and have dreams and feelings about things that do come to pass.

One of my most memorable ESP events was when I had a dream about the 2009 monorail crash about a week before it happened. I even dreamed about the colors pink & purple; the two monorail colors involved.

Oh, and back in college shortly after DH & I started dating he took a large jar full of coins to his bank to cash them in. When he got back from the bank he asked me to guess how much was in the jar. I guessed the amount. Exactly. To the penny. His family still sometimes jokes that I'm a witch. HA!

This was on my mom's side of the family and my grandmother was from Poland but my grandfather was from Ireland. I guess that's where we heard the term "fey". I only remember him with white hair.
