It is very interesting to read all of these posts. I am definitely a NON-EMH type of person for crowd level purposes and it seems that the poll results have confirmed that. Many more people posted that they love EMH days. I certainly won't be changing my tune on this score ;)

I don't know why anyone would avoid EMH? :confused3 They are the best thing since mickey ice cream bars! :earsboy:

You can accomplish more in 3 hours after the park "closes" than you can in 10 hours during peak daytime crowds! Plus the hot sun has gone away and the sea of ankle smashing strollers has subsided :thumbsup2 !

We have a slight advantage because we are from the West Coast so our body clocks jive well with late magic hours...on the other hand you will NEVER see this family at early magic hours because we would be waking up at like 4:00 in the morning on our body clocks!

It depends on the park for evening EMH, but I really like the morning EMH. I tend to leave whichever early EMH park by 11am (unless we do lunch there first) though because the crowds can get really large.

We're going in August and intend to do a morning EMH park every day and evening EMH if we can, too. And stay away from the parks in between.
Worked great last summer ! I just wish they'd open the parks earlier.

someone told me that the parks were much more crowded on EMH days, so I began to avoid them as much as possible. by following this advice, i have expereinced noticably shorter lines and less crowds. it really makes sense if you think about. EMH is considered a perk for resort guests so most vistitors will want to take advantage of that. that leaves the other parks a lot less crowded and more enjoyable in my opinion.

Yes, this is excatly what I was trying to say in my post. We were in a EMH park during the day once,(I believe it was MGM) the crowd was overwhelming, We had AP's, we left and went to MK, no crowd! I said," this is worth it to me to not participate in EMH's." The next day we went back to MGM, no crowd. We worked our trip around the EMH parks day or nights. The people that do not have parkhoppers stay there all day or night. It is very crowded, or it has been on the day or nights I have tried to do them. I'm not reading a book, this is my personal experience.

What I've noticed whenever I've done morning EMH is that many, many guests PLAN to do them but don't wake up early enough. Yet they still go to that park. Add to that the offsite guests plus those who didn't know there was EMH and arrive for the regular opening, by 10am the crowds are insane and it only gets worse after that.

Morning EMH totally rocks and when it becomes too crowded for comfort, we leave and after our break, we hop to some other park for the rest of the day. We tend to avoid the PM EMH parks because the PM EMH's are almost always busier. We don't always make use of EMH's because it depends on the time of year when we go, if we feel that we need to use them at all.
