Do you find EMH parks to be as bad a they say or does it seem to be about the same as a normal attendance day? I don't know because in the past we avoided these parks on EMH days, but our trip in Dec. I may have to so our schedule will work out.

I love going to the morning EMH, especially during the hotter months, I get there, get in the attractions that are open and then stay in that park until lunch time or so. After that I take a break and then parkhop to a park that was not a morning EMH park.
I have not done many of the evening EMH parks because they do tend to be busy. I will go to those parks early in the day, but again will park hop in the afternoon to avoid the crowds.

I voted for I love the park on EMH days. My reason is whenever the parks are having AM EMH my family and I always try to visit them on those days, because it gives us a great head start on some of the most popular attractions. So it either gives us a chance to walk right on them a 2nd time in a row, or getting a Fast Pass for the better times later on that day. A great example of a popular attraction would be Soarin.

I also voted for love the EMH days. I never go to WDW during peak times, so the parks in general aren't that busy. So I love going to early EMH, and getting a headstart on the crowds.

AVOID them- we stay offsite. We use the UG least crowded park recommended each day by them- I have found that the parks they recommend as least crowded are the parks NOT having EMH that day. We have very little wait times and less crowds if we stick to this- if we diverge, as we did on one day last trip, we found the crowds are heavier at the EMH parks.

I agree with those who go during the days to get a start on things. Also, you don't have to get up extra early to rush to something and it can make for a pretty leisurely day.

As for the morning hours, I enjoy being able to to get to the main attractions early, then having the rest of the day to hang around. You could be done with any park by 3 or 4 pm.

If staying at Disney, I'll use the morning ones if I can and avoid the night ones as much as possible.

If not staying at Disney, I avoid them completely.

We usually attend evening EMH.

We're lucky to make it to park opening by the end of our visit, much less morning EMH! *LOL*

I certainly steer clear of them, preferring to attend the less crowded parks, no early morning sunrises. However, if there was some reason to necessarily be at an EMH park, (working in with someone else's schedule, or some other 'good' reason), I would hesitantly go. But, I would try to alter if possible.

Just this past month while I was there, I was meeting up with someone from the boards. They suggested MK. I reminded them that MK was a red day, Epcot was a green. We did Epcot, very enjoyable.

i LOVE them you can get so much done in that hour-- even get fast passes for later stay have CS lunch then head somewhere else :goodvibes

I use EMH to get in and ride the major rides first thing and swipe fastpasses when wait times are short. Then we either go to another park and come back later that day or just expect that there may be a few more people in the park but we've already ridden all the rides they are now standing in line for while we are chiling:cool1:

I understand the theory that EMH days "may" be more crowded but I don't accept it as a given and we are always flexible in what we want to do. I've driven to MGM (DHS) to be there for rope drop on a Saturday morning, bee lined straight to TT fastpass machines while DW goes to stand in line either for there or RR, and we'll bounce between the two and get to ride each 2-4 times before the park opens at 9:00. Then we may leave and go to EPCOT or AK and get there right after rope drop and be in the same situation as everyone else there anyway.

AVOID them- we stay offsite. We use the UG least crowded park recommended each day by them- I have found that the parks they recommend as least crowded are the parks NOT having EMH that day.

Okay, since I am new, I have to ask, what is the "UG least Crowded Park Recommended" you are referring to?:confused3

Thanks!!!

I love EMH!
We always stay on property so for us its just more fun time to spend out at the parks (and with a smaller crowd in my opionion)
:cool1:

We try to do the other parks on EMH days, We find that the people that don't have parkhoppers will be at the EMH park on that day, it is very crowded, the other parks are not that bad. Of course, we do not travel at peak season.:thumbsup2

I have avoided them for a long time and have always done really well. We went to MK on a Sunday night with EMH evenings last year and thought it wasn't too bad.

This year, I'll have no choice but to do DHS on a Saturday with EMH mornings and MK on a Monday with EMH evenings. We'll see how it goes.....

We love the AM EMH, especially at MK. It's a great way to get in all the fantasyland rides with little to no wait. We usually hit all the AM EMH.

We don't care for the PM EMH too much as it's usually too crowded as everyone is usually at the parks. It does get a little better towards the later end of the PM EMH though but we usually avoid.

We try to avoid the Extra Magic Hours for both Morning and Evening at all costs. The parks just get a little wild/crazy.

I try to avoid the EMH mornings and the EMH park during the day, but I love the EMH evening after normal closing times. The crowds thin out and we usually can ride all the rides we want without any or at least short waits.

we LOVE am emh no lines for the big ticket rides then take your time the rest of the day. PM emh are hit & miss for crowds, but we have been lucky with the crowds.:thumbsup2
