Not like Pooh?

I think you don't want to go because you are afraid of heffalumps and woozles.

We always schedule a breakfast at Crystal Palace because the food is good, we enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant, and we enjoy the characters. We like the Pooh characters, but they are not the reason we eat at Crystal Palace.

How could you not like Pooh? If you play your cards right - him and his friends can get you into the MK an hour before everyone else. That's what I like about Pooh :rotfl:

CP is beautiful and the food is good, so if you have to hug Tigger, in my book its worth it. :goodvibes

But Tigger is another story. If I have to watch that cartoon, I focus on Tigger. However, CP get's rave reviews so we're going for the food and Tigger.

We avoid Crystal Palace because we don't like the food. DH loves salmon and was thrilled CP had that on the menu......until he cut into a piece and it was RAW.....TOTALLY RAW :scared1: :scared1:. And that was our first (not to mention last) visit to CP . I know there can be off nights at lots of restaurants, but there are so many other great places in Disney that we love, we really don't have any desire to go back to CP. Plus we find ourselves eating at more resort TS than park TS anyway :rolleyes1. But as far as Pooh characters having an effect......not so much.....it's just the food we don't care for :sad2:.

We go to the CP for breakfast because of the great food - made to order omlettes, puffed french toast & great fruit. It is a must do for my DH and I every trip.

I don't mind Pooh at the CP...he doesn't say much. ;)

Do people who don't like Mickey still go to Disney? :confused3

Besides the great food how could you let a character keep you from enjoying the rare privilege of walking up Main St. when it is practically deserted. If you get an ADR before the park opens you will be able to get in and it seems like you have the park to yourself. Great opportunity for awesome pictures without tons of people in the, especially of the castle!! I just can't imagine avoiding a restaurant just because there are characters there especially when the early morning experience and the food far outweigh a few characters!!

We love Pooh and all of his friends. The buffet is really good too, but we would go even if it wasn´t.

I would NEVER miss an opportunity to dine with Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore--love them all (and the puffed french toast). Now, Stitch on the other hand, I turn the other way the minute I see him/her/it.

I am with you all the way there.

As long as I'm not stepping in it on my way to the Buffett, I'm alright with a little Pooh.

However, CP is a great Buffett, in fact it is one of the best we have been to and we like our Buffetts.

I picked other. I love the Pooh characters, but the DS's think they are for babies. They don't know that we are going to eat there this trip. I want my pictures of my boys with Tiger and Eeyore.

The characters do not change our decision either way when it comes to picking a meal. We like the food at CP so we go - we don't like the food at Chef Mickey's so we haven't gone back. If someone doesn't like the characters you can just wave them off from coming to your table - i have seen plenty of people do that, most notably at CP (ironic?). However, I like all the character picture opportunities - it makes my nephews giddy when they see their uncle "hanging out" with their favorite characters.

We actually avoided CP for years - never could understand what all the commotion was about?
But we finally went for breakfast last year when my boys were 9, 6 & 6. We had an 8:05 ADR - and I'll have to admit, it was great! Getting to go in the Park before it opens......good, hot food because it was the first seating.....beautiful decor......and such a convenient location right in MK!!!

All in all, the characters were not a determining factor in our decision to go there and they did not really have an affect on our dining experience one way or another.

Wow, I never thought that people would actually not like Pooh...:(
I know...to each his own!
Pooh just happens to be my very favorite character, so we eat at CP because of it. Of course I do like the food there, but as far as I'm concerned, the food could stink and I'd still love it!pooh:

Yup!

DH doesn't like the costumed characters. But he loves Disney World. We go every year and just avoid the character meals and greeting areas. Everyone has parts of the World they like and dislike. We all go for our own reasons. ;)

Nothing but love!

I love Eeyore, and we like Pooh, Tigger, and Piglet, so that adds to the experience.

But we really go for the great breakfast experience and the beautiful setting!
