Last year, I started planning this one as soon as we got back! We go in December, and I'm already thinking about the next one! Even if it's a couple of years, I'm not content unless planning a Disney trip!

How about you obsessors? C'mon, I see your multiple tickers going! ;)

I am always planning a trip. That is my anti depressant medicine when I cant be at Disney. :cheer2: I am etiher working on ressies, plans for something new to do or just plain writing down over and over what I want to do.

I agree. It is what keeps me getting up and going to work everyday. I tell myself "This is for Disney.". It keeps me going. :)

Same here. Planning my Disney trips is what gets me through the drudgery of my job! Nothing else is quite as magical as Disney to make you forget the office politics.

If it's not a "real" trip then it's a dream trip. I follow Southwest Air DING! and check the DIS boards as well as Disney's website all the time. I check their rates and any promotions. I put together a "quick trip" in Sept with the free free dining and when Southwest had a DING! promotion. It would have been a quick and cheap trip. Alas we didn't go...just dream.

Then last week I told my husband we needed a vacation and mentioned the current, great opportunity - good flights and reduced rates at the resort for October! Surprise, surprise when he was able to say "book it!"

Literally in one night I booked our flights and resort. Then created an itinerary and booked all our dining reservations. I called back the next day to get our MNSSHP tickets and I find myself scouring the boards today checking things out!

We booked last week. We leave next week. It's a magical thing!

Yes!!! It gives me something to look forward to. Something to motivate me. ("Oh, yeah, this is why I go to work and make $$$....so I can go to Disney!")
Sadly, I can tell you well be going T'giving 06, 2007 and May of 2008 we'll be going to DisneyLAND, just to say we did.
Is it bad that I know that far in advance? :confused3

I am currently in the "dream trip" phase of planning. I keep up with DING fares, deals and promotions, enter every sweepstakes I can find.
OH how I would LOVE for my DH to say "book it!" and really want to go as much as I do! :sad2: Meanwhile, I'm helping my sister plan her trip (still half hoping for an invite!) and trying to talk my mother (or anyone else I can find) to go with me!! We just dropped five grand on a family trip to WDW in July, so another big trip is out of the question, but if it was just me and some non-family member to split the room with.......... :rolleyes1

Since the kids moved out we've been taking more non-Disney trips and vacations so the WDW planning doesn't fill a void as it used to, there's not as much need. Now, with airfare skyrocketing and Disney resort discount codes becoming more rare, I'm stalking the internet, particularly this site, to get a bargain. We always go the first 10 days in March so we always know our dates and I'm forever punching in flight times and check in/check out dates for future trips. I enjoy the community here and learn something new about WDW regularly but my visits here have a more practical aim than they used to.

We booked our first trip last August and my wife spends a couple of hours a night on this board and on Mikes planning our trip. I think planning a Disney trip can be very addicting. I know she now has me on here too!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yes! I've already planned a Disney/Megacon (Orlando comic convention) trip for February '07 and have started planning for another just Disney in December '07. Of course, there may be at least one more in between but I'm not sure yet. I'm not happy unless I'm planning a trip. It keeps me going when I know I can't be there. They're short, usually a long weekend but it's something to just get away. Thank goodness for AP's and AP or AAA rates. :teeth:

Yep, I'm always planning a trip. It gives me something to look forward to.
I start my new Saving for Disney Change Jar with what ever is left over from my latest trip (which usually isn't much!) the day I get home and just keep planning from there. I take a little bit of time off from the DIS boards though after I get home because for a week or two after it's just too depressing to come here with so much time before my next trip, within a month though, I'm back here just about every day, planning, planning, planning! I love it!

its starting to look this way...
I didnt realize someone could have the WDW Blues so bad! I cried the morning I woke up at home!
tomorrow its off to work...planning for another trip is going to get me thru the tough times...

Well, let's see... Discussion for this December's trip was started in 2003. That would be before the baby was even a twinkle in anyone's eye. I like planning vacations - we're booked on a cruise in Jan. 2008 and I'm already planning shore excursions.

Always planning a trip. I usually am planning several at one time. I am still fine tuning my October trip (next week), working on my ADRs for my Feb. 07 trip, and have been calling the DVC member services the past couple of days to book my May 07 trip. Next month I start calling DVC member service to book my Oct 07 trip. It gets overwhelming sometimes, especially since the 180 ADR if now in effect. I have airfare for Oct and Feb now, but only the rental car for October. I'm acutally pretty good at this now and am even working on my daugther's October trip as she arrived the second week after we are there and I did all of her ADRs too. Folks say that this is my calling. When I start working on my itinerary, I just pull up a previous one and see where we ate and what we did and work from that one.

I have 3 trips booked so I better be planning.

But my planning is less as we go more now and I just do general plans not things set in stone like before.

:thumbsup2 ---before we left on our last day, dd12.5 say's I want to come back for my 16th birthday! she's already got a theme for our next trip!!! so in 3 years...... we also have a trip in the works for Washington, DC. and if I could talk anyone into it a trip to Disneyland would be nice........ :rolleyes1

Yep!

On our last days of our trip in Aug, we were already talking about 2007. By the time we got home, we had decided on a cruise. A week after we had been home, we had booked.

This is standard operating procedure for us.
