No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

I went to Edinburgh a few years back determined to try it. I saw it and instantly chickened out.

However, I am going to the New Hampshire Highland Games tomorrow, so I may give it another shot...

Well, that's just perfect! What should I make for the potluck then!?!?!

We've got a piper down, I repeat, the piper is DOWN!

No, I've never had it. I'd try it if I went to Scotland though so it was authentic, just as I do any International cuisine.

Whether I'd like it or not is another thing! :p

EWWWWWW!!!! :scared:

Everything Christmas my Dad insists on making black pudding & white pudding for breakfast! He thinks its a treat, I think its just disgusting! :crazy2:

Although, you have to give the haggis some respect seeing as there are poems about it and even entire festivals!:worship:

I LOVE THAT

What? That my Dad makes it every Christmas or do you actually LOVE black pudding and white pudding?

I like black pudding too. I don't care for white pudding - I'm not even sure what it is made of. As far as haggis goes, I've never tried it, but it really looks bad.

Yuck! No! Not even close to those delicious black & white cookies! I don't even know why its called pudding, its like a sausage thing but not really sausage, its very mealy and oh, no, just not a yummy cookie!

I haven't had haggis, although I would try. I think hog maw is pretty good.

DH loves black pudding. I've never tried it as I can't stand the smell & the ingredients put me off!

For the benefit of overseas visitors a Black Pudding is a type of sausage made from congealed pigs blood with spices and lumps of fat, wrapped in a length of intestine.

I am scared to ask...but here goes...

What is hog maw?

Stuffed pig stomach. Usually stuffed with sausage, potatoes, bread, spices, then boiled and baked. No nasty bits, lol.

Haggis is GOOD STUFF!!! In fact I have a can of The Caledonian Kitchen Premium Quality Haggis with Highland Beef in my dorm room right now! I'm saving it for a special occasion, like one of those Sunday nights when the cafeteria is closed and I'm just pining for some sheep and cow parts. :teeth:
