We plan on 14 nights.

How about arrive June 24 and stay till July 1 at the WL,
then move to Dolphin July 1 and leave on July 8 ?

I could do our ADR for June 24-> July 1 at the 90 day mark.
Then have to wait for ADR's for each 90 day mark for July 1 to July 8.

We could taxi to the Dolphin from the WL, Saturday AM.

How do you feel about packing up and unpacking in the middle of a vacation ?

I will let you know when I get back in Oct.... I am doing Wl 1st then moving 2 nights over to the Swan and those heavenly beds

Why take a taxi? You can notify them at WL and bell services will pick up your luggage and deliver it to bell services at Dolphin. When you check in and are in your new room just call and they will deliver the bags.

Since you have a long trip, I don't think it will be a problem. The Dolphin rooms and location are great. You can concentrate on MK/AK on the first part of your trip, and Epcot/MGM on the second. Sounds like a great plan. And last I heard, Disney will move your luggage to the Dolphin. You can go to a park after you check out, and then return to the Dolphin in the afternoon and your bags will be there.

THANKS :)

I did not know WDW would move luggage from a WDW resort to a Starwood resort. I will call and ask WL next year (2006) to confirm.

We also thought the week before 4th of July week would be better for MK and then EPCOT the week of 4th of July.

We could do 4th of July fireworks at EPCOT and walk back (if the fireworks are around 9 PM).

The week of 4th of July we have Mickey Magical Milestone tour on 7/3/06 @ 9:00 AM and on 7/4/06 we have the 5:00 PM Sprit of Aloha Show.
We could monorail over to EPCOT after the Spirit of Aloha. Walk to the World Showcase and join the crowds. Then walk back to the Dolphin.
We plan on 7/5 to do the pool in the AM (and sleep) and STUDIO's and Fantasmic in the PM. 7/6 we could do EPCOT and on 7/7 do MK - right now it's early entry morning (may change in 2006).

Mad4Mickey - I will love to read your report on how you liked both resorts and the switch to the Swan from the WL. Thanks for trying out the two resorts before me ;)

We did that exact thing in 2002 and it worked out great for us. We spent 3 nights at WL and focused on MK and MNSSHP (It was Oct). We had planned a rest day on the day we switched over to the Dolphin. I didn't realize WL would transport our bags  so we took a cab over to the Dolphin, pre-registered and then hit the Boardwalk and the pool. The rest of our trip we spent a lot of time at Epcot and MGM as well hit AK and MK again. We were there 8 nights and you plan on 14 so I think you'll be just fine. We didn't think moving was a hassle at all. It was fun to experience 2 resorts. Have fun! :)

As the other s stated...thjat is a GREAT IDEA! Because you are staying for 14 days, a split stay makes a lot of sense. I do not understand people who have a 3 day vacation and stay 1 night one place and two nights at another...that is waaaay too much of a hassle!

Also, you are moving to a totally different area of WDW. So, like the othes said...focus on AK and MK when at the WL...and Epcot and MGM at the Dolphin!

Have fun! :)
