I’ve read a few posts about September crowds so thought it might be helpful for planning purposes if those school systems with Fall breaks could let everyone know when those are planned. Our school system is on Fall break the week of Sept. 15. My cousin’s is the following week (Sept. 22) even though we’re in the same State just different counties. I’m taking my family for our Fall break mainly because the kids want to go to the Halloween party.

My district in WI doesn't do a fall break. All schools in MN are closed October 17-18 for the state teacher's conference. Most districts will add the Wednesday so it's a five day weekend for the kids and staff.

This year is different for us. Ours is Oct 6-12, usually it's the week of/after Columbus day. Having a whole week is fairly new here. (Used to be 3-4 days, on either end of Columbus day.) Sept seems early for sure!

couldn't vote for more than one.
Our local district is Sept. 23-Oct. 7.
The charter school my grand kids go to is Oct. 7-16

We don’t get fall break. We don’t even get a full week for spring break. And we only get between Christmas and New York off. This is why everyone pulls their kids from school for vacation at random times where I live.

We're in North Texas (near DFW) and we don't get a fall break, per se. BUT ... the teachers have two days of "Staff Only Professional Learning" time the first two days of November each year, which is strange because they don't take the day off for Veterans Day the following Monday. Not sure what that's about. Either way, we tend to make that week into our own little "Fall Break" and have the kids miss a couple days of school. That early in the year it hasn't caused any issues. Two years ago we did Disneyland, last year we didn't do anything, this year we're doing Universal Orlando and Disney, next year we're on the Magic for a week out of Puerto Rico. It's a great week to travel. Cheap, low crowds, mild weather ... I just wish they would bite the bullet and make the entire week a holiday.

We don't get fall break but do get a four day holiday in Oct, a full week for Thanksgiving, Veteran's Day, and two days after Halloween. I found the Halloween one interesting, then learned the day after is one of our district's lowest attendance days of the year, so they went ahead and built a holiday and a staff development into the calendar. Allowed us enough time to take a Halloween on the High Seas cruise last year, I loved it!

In my area we are still in the middle of summer break.

Schools don't go back until the day after Labor Day.

Some schools get a Jewish holiday of 1 day in September.
All schools get Columbus day, Veteran's Day, and 3 days during Thanksgiving week.
Then usually December 24th to January 2nd, MLK Day, "winter break" is the week of President's Day, "Spring break" is the week leading up to or the week following Easter depending on the date, then most get the Friday and Monday for Memorial Day weekend, and now Juneteenth.

My district in MN actually gives the entire week off for the conference. That is not usual. We have traveled for this week in WDW in the past and the crowds have been generally low. Not as low as the week after Labor Day, but still really low and less heat!

In our district north of Houston, there's no week-long break until Thanksgiving. But the kids have a 4-day weekend off for Columbus Day in October and another 4-day weekend that ends on Election Day.

WI here - we don't get a fall break. We don't start school until after Labor Day, however.

Many schools here in AZ have TWO weeks of fall break, usually the first two weeks of October. But most of those families go to Disneyland -- we always run into someone we know when we go then.
