Do we use yellow ME tags if we are not checking bags?

I am sure this has been answered somewhere. We are not going to check any luggage. We will have 1 carry on bag and 2 backpacks. Do we still need to use the yellow ME tags?

Nope, you won't have to.
The tags are for checked luggage so they can identify that you are a ME guest and which resort to take the luggage to.

Yellow DME tags don't do anything on carry on baggage but gate checked baggage that finds its way towards the carousel may be unretrievable there and automagically delivered to your resort instead.

You know, though - you may want to consider bringing one of those yellow tags with you on the off-chance that your carry-on ends up needing to be gate-checked.
