Hi all!

We are going to Disneyland in the spring and are just in the process of booking the hotel. We stayed at the Grand Californian a few years ago and were sure at the time you got front of the line access due to staying onsite, which clearly we would not this time!

What we are now wondering is if we did get front of line access, i.e. always use the fastpass lane or are we thinking of a different Disney theme park!

Can anyone tell us if our memory is playing tricks on us?

Thanks
Michael

I think you might be thinking of a different park... I've never heard of that at Disneyland, but I could be wrong!

Up until the end of 2006 DLR offered an "Enhanced Fastpass" feature for people who stayed at one of the resort hotels. This was dropped. EFP allowed you to get FPs without regard to the wait times between regular FPs. The FPs were not unlimited, but were easier to get because you could walk into DL and go directly to SM, pick up a FP, then go directly to Indy and pick up a FP, and proceed to all FP attractions and get FPs. You then had to wait until the FP windows opened to get another FP for that ride.

I think the OP is remembering EFP.

Oh how I miss EFP. I wonder if they'll bring it back after the year of a million dreams promo.

Actually, as I remember the Enhanced Fastpass (having obtained one the summer of 2006) it was available for resort hotel guests booking through AAA only. The mechanics were as Hydroguy described.

Yep, I remember this program. Summer of 2006. We got unlimited fast pass just for staying at Paradise Pier. (at the time it was any of the 3 disney hotels) There were 5 of us in July it was packed as could be, but with unlimted, we cruised. It was soooo cool. I booked with Disney Travel Co., not AAA.
