Do we really need to bring sleeping bags?

We will be staying in tents during the month of August. I have been pulling out all of the camping equipment and sleeping bags. This year we might not drive the van to save on gas, we will still be taking two cars. With the van we would still have taken a extra car.

The sleeping bags take a lot of space. I was wondering if blankets and sheets would be better anyway. We will also have air mattresses.

Does anyone agree?

Thanks Anna

I do. When I tent camp I'm more comforatble in sheet and blankets then a sleeping bag.

August in Florida is just too hot for sleeping bags, you will do just fine with sheets.

We just returned from camping at FW and we brought blankets and sheets for the air mattresses and it was just fine---We barely even used the blankets!
I think the sleeping bags would be too hot and bulkier to pack.

I totally agree! Sleeping bags are way too bulky and hot. We always use sheets & blankets, just like at home. We sleep much better! :)

I agree with all of you, Aug is to hot for a bag. One exception though, dh will have an air conditioner in our tent that will freeze me. The kids on the other hand he will make suffer threw the heat. I am going to take sheets and blankets for them.
Thanks Tigger

I always use sheets and blanket on an air mattress.

I always sew the top sheet and the fitted sheet together at the bottom, otherwise the top sheet ends up around my waist as there is not as much weight to keep it tucked in.
