We're heading to DL next weekend and I already made PS's for breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at the PCH Grill and dinner at The Vineyard room.. We want to have breakfast one morning at Carnation Cafe and lunch or dinner at Cafe Orleans.. Are PS's for those 2 place really necessary? We will be going next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (December 7th through the 9th)..

Thanks!! :)

We did not have priority seating for our breakfast at Carnation Cafe when we were there the Monday before Thanksgiving and we ended up waiting a good 45 minutes for a table. I would have made reservations, but I just didn't know exactly when we were going to be ready for breakfast. :confused3

That's exactly the reason why I don't want to make PS's. I'm not sure when we'll be hungry and everything, you know?

It depends on where you are thinking of going, what time of day and how crowded it will be. We made reservations for Rainforest Cafe for a Saturday during our trip in 11 days and also for Carnation Cafe for our last day there for Breakfast on a monday morning.

We want to go to Carnation Cafe for breakfast on Friday and Cafe Orleans for lunch on Saturday and maybe Cafe Orleans for breakfast Saturday after our EE.. I don't want to rush or anything to make our PS's, plus we already have 2 made, that's why I'm debating if we should make them or just play it by ear.. :confused3

i'd make reservations and then program the number in your cell phone in case you decide to make changes.

we made reservations an hour before we wanted a table on our sept. trip. now, on a weekend, i don't know if you will get that lucky, but worth a shot.

I always make a PS for both of those restaurants. I've never seen Carnation with a short line, and last month when I ate at Cafe Orleans, I had to wait in a line about 10 people deep just to check in with my PS. I got to go in right away, everyone else was still standing around waiting. I don't like standing around waiting in line to eat when I have hungry kids with me.

I would make a PS for both just to have a solid plan. If you end up not going, it's ok, that happens a lot. But if you do want to eat there during prime time and don't have a ressie, you may needlessly wait a long time. I always say better safe than sorry.;)

You guys are great! We changed our days going, now we're going December 14th through the 16th, but I'm going to call and make ressies for those restuarants anyways..

Thanks for the help!

We'll see you there! We're staying 12/12 to 12/16. Good call on making PS's. Changing them is easier than waiting in line.

we'll be there the 7th thru 11th and I made us some PS reservations. We are going to have dinner at Rainforest Cafe our first night. Then The Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney the next night, then Goofys Kitchen on the 9th, and our last night we're going to try Blue Bayou. I didnt make any breakfast or lunch reservations because I have no idea where we'll be. I figure we can grab something quick for breakfast and/or lunch and have dinner be our big meal. What do you think?

How do you think the crowds will be during this time?

I was there this time last year and the crowds where just fine so I am thinking they should be about the same. Just keep your fingers crossed!
