My use year is June.
Am I "borrowing" June 2003 pts in order to reserve Oct 2003? even though Im using points within same "use year" but my ressie window is before I receive points? We dont need to be within the use year to book the ressie do we?

No, you are not borrowing points as long as your vacation actually occurs on or after the first day of your use year... You can make your reservations starting 11 months prior to the first day of your use year if you like....

Hope this helps....

Actually, your use year has NOTHING at all to do with when you an make reservations.

You make reservations 11 months before the check out date at your home resort. That is it. Your use year is completely irrelevelent to when you can make reservations.

We also have the issue of wether this year's or that year's points are going to be used. This is completely seperate. You June '03 points are usable as "current year's points" from June 1, '03 till May 31, '04.

You make the reservation when the seven-eleven months window allow you to, there is NO use year consideration.

Thank you - that's what I thought but I guess Im getting paranoid that something isnt going to go right. I really want to be on that ship next December!! My husband is leaving all the planning up to me. Just wants to know when to be packed.

I always look at it this way:

Your use year is June
Your trip date is Oct 2003

Your trip is in your 2003 use year, so you can use 2002 banked points, 2003 current points, 2004 borrowed points. Think current year (on trip date), -1, +1.
