We already have 3 PS's for our 7 day trip. We really want to try Ohana, but don't want to over-schedule ourselves. How necessary will it be to make PS before we go (1/7-1/15)? We also would really like to view Wishes while we're there.

'Ohana is one of the popular restaurants at WDW. I would suggest a PS any time of the year. If you want to watch Wishes, I would make one for one hour before the show starts.

I would make one, just in case. Remember, there are no penalities for canceling (or not even showing up) at this restaurant, so if it's somethign you want to do for sure, there really isn't a reason NOT to make one, you know? If plans change while there, just give them a call and see about changing your PS time, but I'd have one just in case.

And I do agree, 1 hour before - and arrive a bit early to request it at the podium.

I think I read in one of the guide (un-official I think) that it is becoming more difficult to be a walk in even at slow times of the years at certain restaurants, so PS are always advisable. I know how you feel about being over-booked but think about with the exception of Cindy's Breakfast and maybe another or two, you don't HAVE to go if you have a PS. There are penalties or you get charged or something at the castle breakfast. Every trip we end up bailing out on one or two of the PSs. Just because we don't want to rush rush rush, hurry hurry hurry. Make the PSs, you can always cancel or not go. But was I mentioned, there are penalties for not showing up at Cindy's.

a PS at 'Ohana at any point in the year is getting to be a must do. :D

We will be in WDW from the 7th til the 15th also! We have a PS for Ohana for the 7th. It has sort of become a tradition for us to eat there the night we arrive. Great way to kick off a trip in the World! Last trip we enjoyed it so much we tried for another PS while there for end of trip. Booked solid!

Make the PS and if things dont work out, just cancel. When you get there, ask very nicely for a window seat to see the fireworks. Sometimes it works. If not, you can usually manuever towards the windows close enough. Take into account that sometimes the schedule will change. While writing this, I got our schedule and realized that our PS is exact same time as Wishes. Im pretty sure they changed the schedule or I goofed :earboy2:

Here is a schedule of Wishes from this website:

Fri. 7th 7pm
Sat. 8th 8pm
Sun. 9th 7pm
Mon. 10th 8pm
Tues. 11th 7 pm
Wed. 12th 7pm
Thurs. 13th 8pm
Fri. 14th 8pm
Sat. 15th 10pm
