At my 20th, I noticed that it was mostly the GUYS that were unrecognizable. I saw one guy whose Mom was friends with mine so I've known him since we were about 6 but I'd been living out of state and hadn't seen him at all since HS. He used to be skinny and had long hair--now he's bald and is quite bulky.

He ran up and gave me a hug while I was thinking--Who the HECK is this???
The women, on the other hand, looked pretty much the same. I have some very close friends that I went to HS with who tease me about being Dorian Gray and having a picture in the attic because I haven't changed all that much.
I did laugh the other day, though, at how old I felt. We have this adorable student employee who is a guy--I'd love to set him up with my dd if she were older.

He and I got in the elevator the other day and we were alone--he turned to me and said, "I've been needing to ask you something for a while." Umm...ok...and I was thinking, "Oh, God, please don't let this kid hit on me." Then he turned very seriously and said, "I have this wool sweater that's dry clean only. Do you think I could wash it on the gentle cycle and lay it flat to dry?"

Oh, heavens, I AM a Mom!!!
