Do we know for sure when Tinkerbell moves to DHS?

We will be there when Toon Town closes. I am wondering if the Fairies M&G area will continue to operate until the last day, or if Tink will move earlier than that. I am assuming she will replace Lotso @ DHS, so this is a double big deal for my kids as they would love to meet Tink and the girls AND Lotso and I'm trying to determine whether or not that will be possible, or if everyone will already have switching off.

Thanks for any info! I have scoured the boards looking for it!

Yeah, nobody knows for sure.

However, I did read somewhere that when Tink moves to DHS, she will replace Prince Caspian and not Lotso. Who knows how true that is, though.

I, too, read that they are doing away with the Narnia exhibit and replacing it with Tink.

ok, why is Tink closing??

Toontown will be closed permanently beginning Feb. 12, 2011.

It is part of the major rebuilding of Fantasyland that is scheduled to go on through some parts of 2013.

If they left the fairies in DHS permanently that would sure bring in the crowds and give families more to do there. Maybe relieve the craziness of TSM. However, I assume they will move Tink and friends back to MK when the area is completed.

Prince Caspian is the perfect place for Tink !!! What a waste of space otherwise .... Maybe then they could split up lines with the fairies. Three fairies in one line and three in the other and speed the whole process up a bit. It is a long wait to see them as it is, but we thought it was worth it since the fairies spend so much time interacting with the children. :tinker:

we will be there when it's closed too...and at first it really bummed me out...but now it just gives us more reason to do to DHS....we were thinking bout not going there but now that Toy Story is there and now Tink...we will be going!!!!

I have no idea the answer to your question though...sorry!!!

Only Tink is moving to DHS (according to the Disney Parks Blog)...the rest of them are headed to Epcot. :confused3

I thought that I had heard that the Fairies will be in Epcot for Flower & Garden. Does anyone know if this includes Tink or if this is even true?

And not just the children - they were WONDERFUL with my 17 yo!

They were wonderful with me as well. Tink gave me grief for not having a Tinkerbell pin on my lanyard. I told her I would work on it :-)

Does this help any?

The last day of operation for Mickey’s Toontown Fair will be February 11. After that date, the following changes will take effect:

1. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the Disney princesses will move to Town Square in the location currently known as Town Square Exposition Hall in the spring. Until that location is ready, they will greet guests throughout Magic Kingdom Park at locations to be determined.

2. Tinker Bell will be relocating to Disney’s Hollywood Studios while work continues on the Fantasyland expansion. Her other fairy friends will appear later in the spring at Epcot.

3. The Walt Disney World Railroad will stay open but the Toontown station will be closed during construction.

Yeah, just our luck that is the day we go to MK on our 1st trip to WDW :sad2: I was looking forward to Goofy's Barn Stormer rollercoaster. It looks so cute. Oh, well.

I am glad she is not replacing Lotso. I know he will surely be gone by the time we return in 2013, but each time he remains gives me a pinch of hope. Our pics with Lotso from August trip are some of my favorites. :goodvibes

I'm not sure I'd make that assumption. It appears Pixie Hollow has been scrapped from the Fantasyland Expansion plans. Stay tuned.........

And yes....... I agree that putting the WHOLE lot of them in Narnia would have been great. That park is really badly in need of more any-age attractions!

Official CM responses if asked about Tink & Pixie Hollow:

Will Tinker Bell and the Fairies return to Magic Kingdom Park?
Right now, we're focused on moving them to their next locations as we continue work on the Fantasyland expansion.

Because Tinker Bell is moving to another theme park, is Pixie Hollow still being built as part of the expansion of Fantasyland?
We are still in the midst of creative development and do not have any additional updates to share at this time.

I think it would be great if she remained at DHS. It would help spread out our favorite activities.

I did read somewhere that when Tink moves to DHS, she will replace Prince Caspian and not Lotso. Who knows how true that is, though.

That former "NARNIA" building would be a good location for Tink, etc.
(It would at least keep Disney from using that space as a low-rent "attraction" named after some recent film that, short of offering a short film trailer and a few props, offers little in actual entertainment value.)

BUT-

Since that building is located RIGHT NEXT DOOR to Toy Story Mania (the FP Distribution, at that,)
there could be even a more significant RUSH and TURMOIL to and in that immediate area during mornings at DHS.

I figure that the fairies would not open until about an hour after the park (and TSM) open, but that area is still churning with TSM guests an hour after opening.

Significant crowd-control problems may increase in that area (and it's about as bad a situation as exists at WDW, outside of the area of the Fantasmic! theater on nights with a F! performance at DHS.)
