do we get a confirmation mailed??

I just did the DV 4/7 deal yesterday, will we get a confirmation in the mail (I'll feel better when it's all in writing!). Also, when do we get our passes, Disney dollars, etc.?

we got a confirmation that we laid our deposit down in the mail

then we never got one when we paid the trip off, so I requested one and it was sent right away

apparently you get a welcome package (with luggage tags and all) about 40 days before the trip. I cannot confirm this as I havent hit 40 days yet....but Im getting closer (52 to go )

I got my 7/4 confirmation about 33 days out. It comes with really cute Tinkerbelle luggage tags, one per person. You recieve the passes and Disney dollars at check in. I have changed my ressies to a different hotel since getting the confirmation, now at 28 days to go I am waiting for the confirmation letter again. It does make you feel better to see it in writing!

It seems Disney is really slow in getting these out. I have call 3 times to have one sent and have yet to get it. I am like everyone else I like to have it in writing. Also does anyone know if you can check your reservation online. I have tried several times but nothing shows up. I called to make sure they still had it. and it shows on their system but I still can't check on line.

I have also been waiting for our confirmation. Finally, after 2 weeks I decided to call. I told the CM that while the gentleman that helped me make the reservation was very nice that I seemed to know more about WDW than he did (he tried to tell me that concierge did not have a 3rd floor at the Polynesian). The CM and I had a few laughs and she thanked me for being so understanding that they cannot possibly know everything about every resort. We even joked that maybe Disney should send their employees on "vacation" at the various resorts so that they will know them better than the guests!

Anyway, she assured me that everything was in the computer and requested another confirmation to be sent. She did tell me that I would not receive the packet containing all the package info until about 45 days out or until the package was paid in full.

Has anyone already put this package on their DV and do you know if it qualifies for the 0% for six months? We haven't gotten our first statement yet.

Well I got my papers this afternoon and what a mess they were. I had reservations for 2 rooms at Pop for 3 adults and 3 children. The conformation showed only 3 people 2 adults and 1 child. With a note at the bottom that said, "Breaks in the guest number sequence indicate that changes were made which resulted in guest being cancelled from the booking"

So knowing that I hadn't change my reservation to take only one of my 3 children and only my mother in-law I called Disney.

The CM pulled up my reservation her system showed everyone was coming. I explained to her what my papers said. She kept insisting that everything was ok.

After explaining to her that I really didn't feel right about this she agreed to call customer service.

After staying on hold for several minutes, she return to tell me that I was right somehow the official reservation had my name listed twice instead of my wife and one child had been left off. The 3rd is only 2 so she would not show anyway. She said that customer service was correcting the problem and put me back on hold. After several more minutes she returned to tell me that everything had been corrected but since the oldest son was left off I owed 87.00 more dollars. After what seemed like ages I agreed to pay the additional amount. She said that a new confirmation would be sent out today.

I guess I'll wait and pray that it is correct this time.

Make sure you check your Confirmation really close and question any thing that doesn't look right.
