Do WDW strollers make your kids sweat?

Sorry for such a silly question, but I was checking out the pics of the strollers on AllEars and noticed that they're made of hard plastic. Don't kids get really sweaty on their backs and stuff if they sit in these? My ds sweats alot to begin with and I can just imagine him soaked in sweat sitting in them.

We always bring a big towel from the room and a hand towel. We also bring a ziploc full of ice and a couple of washcloths to use for cooling the kids down and wiping their faces. We just take all that back to the room in the evening.

We like renting the strollers. They are a lot easier to push than an umbrella stroller and have lots of room. Some people complain that there is no storage but we just put our bag I carry right on the top! Plenty of room!

Thanks for the ideas...if we do rent perhaps I'll get one of those mister things to attach to the stroller!

got a little heat rash (just some sweaty bumps) when we were there in June, but really I think my girls found the strollers pretty comfy. They are easy to get in and out of and really they do want in and out a lot! It is nice to be able to just put the breaks on and let them climb out on their own. Mine also played with those squirty fans. They kept them pretty entertained! I think that we watered every plant in Epcot one day :p

we brought a cheap bath mat to pad the bottom of the hard plastic strollers. The bottom was non-skid so it didn't move all over and the terrycloth let their skin breathe a bit!
Have Fun!

We get a double stroller even if only one child is riding. Gives them extra room to nod off and room for any packages. But if you stay on property any store clerk can just have any sized package delivered to your resorts front desk-- why carry it around? A towel or 2 from hotel room works well for the stickiness thing. Mine never complained- the 9 and 11 yr old just kept trying to steal the stroller from 3 yr old. Hey- they fit and I saw much larger children in them. :)

Another quick tip: bring a brightly colored bandanna to tie to the handle, so that you can spot yours easily. They do put a name tag on the back of them, but this makes your stroller so much easier to spot when you come back to "stroller parking" and there are a sea of look alike strollers!!! :)

Another add on to the bandana thing to recognize your stroller. But a little off the subject. We flew to Orlando and were given a great tip to put some kind of bright noticeable sticker on every side of our luggage. (We used yellow smileys:) But being as all of our pieces were semi soft sided black matching dozens of others it made ours sooooo easy to snag right off the carousel without having to go give them a good looking over! Also found the 9 and 11 yr old's their own small rolling case so they could take care of themselves. It really helped.

When we rent strollers, we take towels from the room for the kids to sit on. We also drape the towel from the sunshade over the seat when we're on a ride to keep the sun from beating down on the stroller.
