coffee machines and filters and coffee provided for each day you're there? Styrofoam cups? What about little bottles of shampoo - are they provided each day? Thanks all. Leaving in a couple of days and starting to pack!!

If there are other 'should pack but usually people don't' or 'wish I would have packed, but I didn't' items you'd be willing to share, please do!!!

Thanks again!

I can only speak for POP....yes there was a blow dryer. No to coffee machines, cups, filters etc. Yes to shampoo and cute soaps with mickey on it. Yes they are replenished each day. They do give you plastic cups. I packed my own shampoo and took the little bottles as a treat to make me smile at home.

I would for sure pack Purell....use before each meal or snack...that will prevent the dreaded stomach bug. Our party of 5 used it and none of us got sick. Bring sunscreen and sun glasses. If you have room bring your own beach towel, if you plan on swimming. You may want to bring some kind of pain-aid....tylenol, advil, etc....I took some each morning and night to deal with foot pain.

Other than that bring just the basic stuff.....have fun!

Okay, I've GOT to ask - What is POP and Pop Warner? These terms are all over this board and I don't know who they are... Oh, and when you say 'no to the coffee machine' that means there iIS a coffee machine, but they don't provide filters, coffee beyond the first day, right?

thank you.

Speaking for the All Star resorts, there are no coffee makers, etc. However, you can buy a refillable mug at the food court -- all refills after that are free (true for all WDW resorts) There are plastic cups, shampoo and soap and all are replenished each day. And there are hair dryers. There are also towels provided at the pools, and you can borrow these for use at the water parks, so you don't need to pack beach towels.

I always buy a plastic cardholder, some people prefer a lanyard, for my KTTW card -- you can get either of these at the resort gift shops or in the parks. I couldn't live without that.

And...Pop is the Pop Century Resort. Pop Warner refers to a sports competition that happens in early Dec. -- many of the competitors stay at the Value resorts.

POP is POP Century Resort......no there is not a coffee machine in the room. You can only get coffee from the food court.

Yep, Hairdryer...I would bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The Pop did not provide conditioner and I found the provided shampoo very harsh. We had to buy tiny expensive bottles at the Pop store!

No coffee machines but I used my refillable mug. The nice thing about Pop is you can walk through food court on way to bus.

I find it really handy to bring a power bar for ipods, cell phones, hair straightemers etc! I have 3 teenage girls!

No coffeemakers,no fridge in the value resorts (which are POP Century, and the All Star resorts:Music, Sports, and Movies.) You can rent a fridge for $10 per day. Rooms have blowdryers, but they're not very strong. If you're driving, bring a small coffeemaker with you...if you're renting a car, stop at Walmart & buy a cheapie. Or try getting in on the fridge/coffeemaker swap. We brought our own Senseo-fit on the sink countertop

Pop Warner is a national youth sports league...hordes of kids' football teams attend the league tournaments at the Disney sports complex...seems like their big deal is in early December, like the first full week of December after Thanksgiving. I believe they usually book into the Value resorts with some spill-over in Mods

All Star's provide a hairdryer but no to the coffee stuff. That said, as a PP mentioned, you can get a refillable mug and get coffee, tea and soda for the length of your stay right at the food court.

We bring our own shampoo but stash the daily supply in our bag to bring home (the soaps too). It's a nice little pick-me-up when you've got Disney-itis and can't get back there. Throw a Disney CD into the player, hop in the shower and pretend you're getting ready for the parks....Of course, once the shower is over you crash back to reality, but it helps for a little bit :)
