I'll admit that I haven't been an active trader for several years. In fact, my trading partner (my DD) lost interest and I haven't been doing anything with the bags and books of pins that I have. So I listed my DCL and AC collection in my Ebay store, and I've got lots more to photo and list. This could take years.
Anyway, I've sold most of the DCL AC pins, and recently sold another four to one buyer. When the guy got the pins, he complained that they weren't on the original cards. I will admit I didn't take care in matching up the cards, other than getting the correct style and price. I have never had anyone be concerned about the cards, including all the people I sold the other pins to.
I found a couple of the correct cards for him, and have offered a refund on the pins I can't find cards for. So this is not a rant about an unreasonable customer. I just honestly didn't know it mattered to anyone. I went to pin trading get togethers many times at WDW, and it just never came up, in fact there was usually no card involved in trades.
So, my question. Are you a serious collector/trader? And is the original card important to you?
