...The Bibbity Bobbity Botique? We will be in DLR for 3 days in the middle of the month and are not sure if we want to book it. If we decide on the fly, is there much of a chance we could be accomodated? FWIW, we're talking about a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, which may effect demand.

When we were there last July, they were working walk-ins into the schedule. I don't think it should be a problem. They might not be able to do it right when you go in, but they'll put you on the schedule later in the day (one gal was told 30 mins & then I heard 2 hrs when we were leaving)

Thanks, that's helpful. If that's the case we'll for sure not make reservations before we leave. All my travelling companions are "first-timers" and it's just sooo hard to know what they're going to enjoy most. I really think playing it by ear will work best but didn't want to blow any possibility of the BBB.

They did for us last time.. when you get to the park and go there and see what they have for openings :)
I had my choice either wait 45-1 hr or make an appointment for later :)

They was outside July 3rd last year begging walk ins to come in. We brought our two grand kids and ened up doing this on the fly since no appointment needed that day.

Yes...they want to make money. :)

We walked in pretty early one morning and had a 15 minute wait. She told me they typically get busier as the day goes on.

It was a fun experience that my daughter really enjoyed.

Sure, but be ready for them to say they are full. If they are just make a reservation for the next day. :)

Tell me more about BBB? What age is it suitable for? Would my 9 year old be a little too old do you think? How much does it cost?

My grand daughter was 8 1/2 and Loved it. She was made into a princess complete with eye make up and hair, glitter and a crown. My grand son was made into a Knight. He was 6. His hair had a lot of color and glitter and he got a sword. The kids loved it. I think my grand daughter loved it more than her brother though. Im sure 9 year old would just love it. Its like becoming ms america too. They got a princess sash to wear.

Hello fellow Calgarian!!! :wave2:

We are heading to DLR in July and will be doing the same since we are taking 4 first-timers with us. It's so hard to tell until you get there. I hope you have a great trip. :flower3:

Oh they do boys as well? I have 9 year old boy/girl twins, I wonder if my boy would be keen?? can anyone tell me more about it? What does it cost and what do they do exactly? Thanks.

Definitely...but it's not just their first time to DLR, it's their first time ANYWHERE! :hyper: They are all just vibrating with excitement, but it's a real possibility that they'll be overwhelmed. (That's why we're going at this time of year instead of July - hopefully just that much less sensory input.) Have a great trip yourselves...are you overseas now or back in Calgary? At least living in the UAE has conditioned you for DL's hot, dry, climate LOL.

Oh I'm so excited for you!

We are in the UAE now and planning to head back next month. And yes the climate here is great conditioning for DLR. It's the humidity that REALLY gets me...the parks will be a breeze as it is already 40+ degrees Celsius here and humidity around 50%:scared1:
