We are going there this aug and wanted to know do they take a family photo like Ohana? I thought i saw somewhere that they did. And if they do any ideas of how to dress for the Photo. Like Ohana we wear matching shirts kinda of hawaiian. Just my son and I. Any info would be great. Thank you.:surfweb:

They do take a photo. As far as clothing goes, as long as you have them, it should be fine.

Have a great trip!

How much do they charge for the photo? Or is it part of the Disney PhotoPass system (or whatever that is called)? And if it is, and you don't use that photopass, can you still get the picture by itself?

I think recently they made some changes to the photo package. It used to be 2 8x10's, 2 magnets and 2 key chains for about $28. Anyone who has been there what again is the new package?

As for clothing, my family always wear matching shirts disney shirts.

Unless the backdrop has changed recently just don't wear white. You will blend in to the big, white plate behind you. We did that our first year (though why I thought wearing white on travel day with a 6 yo boy was a good idea I'll never know).

This year it will be something with some color, some pizzazz to it.

The pictures are unfortunately not part of the PhotoPass system...that is, unless you buy the picture package. If you buy the package then they can put it on your PhotoPass card.

My family and I were there 3 weeks ago, and the package was somewhere around the $30 mark.

They take your picture in front of a big white Mickey plate. I agree that you need to wear some clothes with "pizzazz," because the plate itself is pretty plain.

well this is good info to know. I have been wondering. If anyone has some pics i would really like to see them. It will be our first visit. last year when we went we were never able to get an ADR. So we are excited this time. Thanks for all of the info. Keep posting.:cool1:

Last time we bought the package it was $27 and included two 6x8, 6 wallets with 2 in frames and 2 in keychains.

We were there last Monday, and I just happen to have my resort charge list right here! It cost $31.90 after tax, and included a large pic of our family, a large character print (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto IIRC), and four 4x6 prints of our family photo.

I'm not sure about the size of the large prints. They could've been 8x10. I know they were larger than 5x7.

Wow, it's gone up quite a bit. I bought it in Nov 2005 so in 1 1/2 years it went up $5!! And it sounds like they took away the magnet and keychain.

It's probably size 6x8 which is what I have.

When we went in October, it just so happened that we had on blue shirts and I was really pleased how they looked with the plate. The large family picture we received and the picture of the characters were 6x8.

Is this a silly question?...but will a CM just take a picture of your family at your table with the characters with YOUR OWN camera? I really don't need a picture of my family by a big plate :)

We always have to take the pictures as the waiter is busy. So sometimes we like to buy these packages so that all of us are in the photo.

CMs will take photos for you if and when they can but I don't see it much at meals as the only CMs are waiters and they are busy doing their job.

I'm sure your server would take a photo. We also only bought part of the package at one of the restaurants last time....so keep that in mind. Just ask when they bring them to the table.

GoofyTraci,

Your daughter with the dress on, acting like she's about the curtsey for the Queen, is too precious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Your other daughter is too!!!!!!!!)

WELL a big thank you for all of the pics. Very happy to have seen them. Now I know what and what not to wear.
