Do they still serve the hamburgers on wheat buns?? We were there 2 yrs ago and that is all they had.. YUCK!

All the CS places serve the wheat buns.

I have heard that if you have a hamburger at places like Sci Fi or other TS restaurants that you get a regular bun. So if you are craving a burger that would be where to get one if you want a reg bun.

After our trip a few weeks ago my husband, son and I decided that we're going to skip burgers/veggie burgers and hot dogs for a little while at CS. I will say that my husband LOVED the burger he had for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. I guess if either my son or husband wants a burger it's TS for us!

But I am crossing my fingers that "regular" buns will find their way back to WDW soon.

I was quite surprised at Pecos Bill I had a burger with one of the freshest buns, it was more like whole grain than whole wheat and it was delish.

I love wheat buns too but the ones at WDW aren't your "normal" wheat buns. These taste ok, but they disintegrate in your hands as you're eating. And I mean they just crumble into mush.

I was informed that they were not wheat buns but All grain buns.......and yes they do turn to mush in your hands.
In another month and a half or so.....I am bringing one pkg of regular buns from HERE and I want ONE burger from there with all the fixings.....I will report back to what happened when I do this deed.

We don't eat lots of burgers while there but I do look forward to having one double cheeseburger meal so was really anticipating a nice juicy burger at Cosmic Ray's late one night last November. Got it, put stuff on from the toppings bar, I was dying of hunger, took a couple of bites and.....splat!

When I got back after our vacation I wrote to compliment our mousekeeper and let the powers that be know how much we loved our stay, I also mentioned the crummy buns, they said that they'd "address my concerns". Ha!

I haven't had a burger in WDW in so long I didn't even know they were using wheat or whole grain. I have no problem with it as far as taste as I like most bread types. IMO they should give you a choice though.

. . .now we eat wheat and whole grain breads. . .but somehow the buns fall a little flat for us. I don't care so much but my husband has been disappointed. . Now what I don't recall last year but experienced this year was the same sort of bun being used at Casey's. . . it got super mushy with the saurkraut.

I only commented here 'cause my husband knows I visit the Disboards. . .he told me 'when you get home, write something about getting those buns changed!' Ha!

They do, but I did not find them as bad this time around ( I *just* came back ). In 2008, I was horrified by the changes in the burgers. Maybe it was because they just switched to the "healthier" burgers and were still working out the kinks, maybe I just got a bad cook that day... but this time around, although they still weren't FANTASTIC, they were okay. I was able to enjoy them.
