Do they still have "pillow pets" in the gift shop you dump into from Dinosaur?

(They were actually another brand, not official "Pillow Pets," but it's the same idea.)

My DS got one last year, and has been talking for months about getting a friend for him when we go back in a couple of weeks. There's a store near us that sells them, but he insists that he wants to get another "Disney" one.

Has anyone been in that gift shop recently? Do they still have any there?

Here's a link in case you have no idea what I'm talking about:

In case you can't find them there, I have seen them at MK Adventureland in the shop near the Magic Carpet ride, and Animal Kingdom Lodge shops- remember to check both Jambo House and Kidani Village.

I called Disney and ordered one because we wanted another one after we got home.

sorry if this is a stupid question, but if the AK has pillow pets do they have dif. animals than the pillow pet site??????? thank you.

The animals are different, because they're not actually "Pillow Pets" - they're a different brand. DS bought a gray rhino, which (I don't think) is an available animal on the Pillow Pets site.

In March we got on from the gift shop at Dinosaur, we got a Panda. So as of the end of March they were still available there.

Ummm...I'm 36 and I NEED to buy one of these when we stay at AKL!! This is the cutest thing ever! Great, like my bf doesn't think I have a Peter Pan complex already...:rotfl:

They had them in the gift shop in Africa, too. I believe they had a panda, a monkey and a third one that I can't quite recall (as of March 2010).

Thanks for the info! My DS sees the commercials on TV, and is asking for one. Might have to tie it into a Disney souvenir!

Good idea -- from what I recall, it's roughly in line with the ones in the commercials in terms of price (plus you don't have to pay for shipping).

We bought DD an elephant and boyfriends nephew a monkey from The Island Mercantile. I am pretty sure it was that store.

Those are cute! I can see my kids wanting one of those. Thanks for the info.

I saw them at a gift shop in Adventureland. It's the shop right next to Aladdin and Jasmine's meeting spot.

For anybody who's seen them recently, a question about the eyes:

Are the eyes plastic buttons? Or are they stitched in fabric? This question is because we have adopted a retired racing greyhound. His pillow pet (known as "stuffy sheep") is his favorite thing in the world! Besides food, of course. Stuffy sheep makes an excellent pillow, must travel from the bedroom to the home office each morning, and gets the living daylights shaken out of him regularly. We're always on the lookout to get another one for him. The ones I recall seeing last year had plastic eyes, which wouldn't be good, if he were to extract them.

Thanks!

I just checked DS' gray rhino from last year (although upon closer examination I think it's actually an elephant), and it has plastic eyes. Sorry!

DD8 loves hers. On our recent rip to Dollyworld (about a 9 hour drive for us) it was perfect in the car, to keep her nice and comfy. It goes everywhere with her.

Maybe PaDisneycouple can do a quick 'surgery' on the pillow pet to remove the eyes? It does seem perfect for a dog that loves fluffy stuffed things!

Hmmm...we did operate on his first howler monkey, after the shreaker mechanism was crushed. It was replaced with several plastic bags. He seems to enjoy the crinkling, though not as much as the shreaking.

I wonder how involved the eye removal could be?
