Do they still give out stickers in the parks and stores?

On previous trips, CMs often gave out stickers to my daughters. Now that I'm teaching elementary age special needs students, I need LOTS of stickers and two of my autistic kids are obsessed with Disneycharacters! Any ideas if I will be able to get free stickers. Here in NC, they have cut the education budget BOYOND BELIEF!!!! With both me and DH being teachers, I'm looking for as many free things as I can for my class this year to help me cut costs. Any other ideas of freebies for my students would be appreciated.
Oh and the trip we're taking in less than2 weeks is a whole family reunion trip thatmy Mom is paying for. so it's not breaking our budget at all!

We just went last month and my son got stickers probably 3 times during the week that we were there (probably 5 at a time).

We just got back and easily brought home 20 stickers. Regular cms have small Mickey stickers and a few have really big fancy Mickey stickers. We ran into a couple cms with the small stickers with goofy and snow white - first time we had seen those! The most stickers we got were from the dvc desks. One of the dvc cms gave us a ton of stickers. The dvc ones right now are advertising the new resort in Hawaii, so ther is one with Mickey on the beach and one with donald and daisy swimming or surfing.

Our ds is only 18 months and a little charmer, so that may have helped with our sticker haul, but I think you should be able to collect quite a few if you ask for a couple at checkin, every time you make a purchase and at the dvc desks

Great thanks. Since we have my 2 dds and my niece and nephews, hopefully we'll be able to get a few. My students actually love the DVC stickers since they were bigger. I might just have to ask the DVC booth people for a bunch of their stuckers. Maybe if I explain who they're for, they'll be generous!

Also, check with the concierege desk at your hotel. They are more than generous (at least in my experience) with free stuff. Also, check to see if than can give you autographed pictures of characters - they did this twice for me when each of my DSs lost teeth at WDW!

I never thought about asking for autographed pictures. My daughters will have their autograph books with them, but it would be nice to get at least one autographed picture for my class. I guess it never hurts to ask!

I have about 35 of the Mickey Mouse stickers we got from a CM on our last trip. DS does not want them and I can't make myself throw them out. If you want them PM me your address and I will mail to you.

OMG, you would not believe how many stickers I had to deal with living with my ex. They are notorious for handing them out on the parade route. Every area keeps rolls on hand of the mickey. The one with the full mickey body alternating with the mickey head sticker.

They also give out at least a dozen to the kids getting a hair cut at the barber shop. It's so funny to see the little ones sitting in the chair covered in stickers to keep them occupied. Most the time they have this look of confusion as the pull off one by one, like how did my day get so good?

The character ones, like Goofy, or Snow White with the dwarfs in a circle around, Cinderella, Einsteins, Play House Disney, Aurora, Belle, and such are given out by the character attendants. Very rarely do you find other cast members with these.

The full body Mickey, on the red background with a black ring are usually used in the gift shops and stores to seal up the boxes. They might give you a few of these, but I wouldn't expect a lot of them. They are slightly larger than the others.

If you would like to have a few spare autographs, you can either ask at Guest Relations or a Character Attendant to have the books signed when there's time. Leave the books with them, and then maybe in a couple of hours, come back for them. But it's key to find a very good attendant that's willing to help with the request. It's not so much fun for characters to be handed a stack of books (although it does happen with large groups). Then when you do meet the characters, just ask them for a solo shot (the photopass photographer can not do this for you). When you get back home, just match the picture up with the autograph. 5 books would be the maximum I would hand a character, have all books open and ready to the page you want signed stacked on top of each other. Clickable Sharpies are the best.

Oh yes, my boys received a bunch when we were there from CM in lots of different areas of the parks, the resort, etc.

oh yes, when I went two years ago with my new hubby and son we ot all sorts of stickers and buttons so many infact that my husband put one on our car every other week so we would spot it in the parking lots at the store....:) We have since run out.....so you know what that means? Time to go back to DisneyWorld......:rotfl:

I'm not sure if you're driving or flying, but if you're driving and you have the space, you might want to check at one of the Kidcot stations in Epcot and ask for the Duffy Bear for the kids to color/do a puppet show with (these replace the masks the kids used to get stamped at each country's Kidcot station). I'm not sure how verbal your autistic students are, but maybe having the puppet doing the talking instead of them (and they don't need to be making eye contact with the audience) will help them with their verbal skills. The Kidcot station in Canada is tucked back in past the entrance to Le Cellier and seemed fairly quiet, so they might be a good one to check with for multiple bears.

What about Disney gummies/pretzels as rewards as well? Unless you aren't allowed to give food rewards, in which case forget I mentioned it!

I have about 29 various Disney character stickers (sent to me from the movie rewards mailer). Send me a PM if you would like them.

I too work with children with autism, and I know these can be valuable reinforcers!
