Do they serve wine on the Magical Express? October 2011 --- We're back! TR started!

Great plans! We stayed at Pop twice and quite liked it too!

How great that you're going to MNSSHP...I love that party! Should be a great time!!

Shannon, I'm all caught up. Great intro (nice to meet you Tim); your plans sound great. We've never done F&W (I think we miss it by just a few days again this trip).

Looking forward to more, and glad to have you back. :)

I LOVE POP! But one of these days I will stay in a deluxe :rotfl:

I am excited for the party...we were throwing around some possible costume ideas too...but haven't decided if we are dressing up or not

:goodvibes Thank you!! Glad to have you reading along!

I love the F&W, but it usually starts at the end of my trip or I rush through it...so this time we want to make a point to take our time checking out the different food/drinks

Yay, am so happy to hear that you love Pop!! We are staying there for our first trip in Sept!

Love the plans, esp being able to experience the Food and Wine festival! popcorn::

As I am writing this next update, there is a special on Walt Disney playing on CNBC...I am DVR'ing it for Tim and I to watch next weekend :happytv:

Back to our regularly scheduled program...popcorn::

I knew I was in love with Tim when he mentioned Le Cellier at dinner on our first date (shhh don’t tell him that, I made him sweat it out in the beginning) Tim probably didn’t know the craziness he was getting himself into on that first date, ok maybe he had a clue, when I pronounced Le Cellier as La-Cell-er. I always knew I was pronouncing it incorrectly, but no one else ever knew because they had no clue about restaurants at Disney World. My poor grandma who moved from Canada to raise her family here in the U.S. is probably cursing me from heaven as I am writing and admitting this :rotfl:

After we plotted out which parks we are visiting on each day, we began to go through which restaurants we wanted to try. We were looking to try restaurants that we haven't visited before, with an old favorite thrown in there

The planning part was easy, the waking up at 5 a.m. was not!! Since we still live 3 hours away at this point (until next week) we called each other and then attempted to make ADRs online :surfweb: We wanted to make sure we got every ADR we wanted, well we did and pretty easily actually! I have visited the last few times during a free dining period so I was a little anxious about ADRs going fast, but it was painless and back to bed we went for a quick nap before work. I am sure Tim is still wondering why I insisted we get up so early, but usually it’s a race for the ADRs you want

Here is what we have planned…

Sunday October 16th – We are walking around Downtown Disney in the afternoon and eating counter service there….then hitting the MNSSHP at night…so most likely eating a counter service meal at MK for dinner

Monday October 17th – EPCOT - Dinner at Le Cellier (say it with me folks LA CELL ERRRRRRRR :thumbsup2)

Tuesday October 18th – DHS – Lunch at 50’s primetime and hoping that we get a waiter/waitress that is lots of fun and interacts with us

Wednesday October 19th – We don’t have any ADRs planned this day either, we are spending our day at MK and nothing jumped out to us. We are going to try and have breakfast at the Poly at Captain Cooks

Thursday October 20th – Our rest day…we are eating at 'Ohana for dinner

Friday – October 21st – Lunch at Les Chefs de France (does Remy still come around and if so, does he during lunch?!?)

Saturday October 22nd – Dinner at Jiko

Sunday October 23rd- the day we leave…also the day I am too upset to eat (ok I’m rarely too upset to eat, but it sounded more dramatic that way)

:goodvibesAnyone have favorites that we are missing out on?? I like to hear what places people can’t miss at Disney :goodvibes

Shannon, sounds like some great places.

We love LeCellier, although this is the second year we aren't going.

We'e not done 50's Prime Time in ages (let me know what you think as I'd like to get it back on the list).

We've not done any of your others. We've skipped signature restaurants and Chef's menu just hasn't appealed to us. One of these days I want to get to Ohanas.

You have some great ADR's there girl:goodvibes Our must do is Le Cellier if we can get it!! We also never miss going to WPC at DTD....I do love the Macadamia Nut Crusted Chicken and carrot cake:cloud9:

Hi:wave2: I followed along your last TR and really enjoyed it! It's so cool that you met someone great on the boards!:thumbsup2 It must be so great to have a significant other that loves Disney as much as you do. My DF likes it enough but doesn't quite get my obsession.

I'm here! Your plans look great so far! I also have to admit that I too used to mispronounce Le Cellier as well until the lady at Disney Reservations very politely corrected me .We ate there for the first time last month and LOVED it! I was able to get a 4:00pm reservation when someone cancelled it so I'll be eating there in exactly 11 days and cannot wait! The rest of you reservations look great too! My favorites are Kona Cafe and the 'Ohana breakfast, have you ever tried those? Can't wait to hear more!

Great ADRs! I studied French for years, and while La Cellier I pronounce properly, my DH makes fun of the fact that I say "Bistro de Paris" as opposed to "Bisto de Paree". :lmao:

Your ADRs look great!
50's Primetime is a favorite of ours. Fingers crossed that you get an awesome server.

Hey girl! I can't believe your trip is so soon!!!:goodvibes

Any dish you guys particularly like at Le Cellier??

'Ohana is a lot of fun, though it can get loud in there on some nights, but I like the family atmosphere. I will let you know how 50's Prime Time goes...its always hit or miss for me

Jiko was Tim's top pick and Le Cellier was mine :goodvibes

I am so excited to try new restaurants this time around! That chicken and carrot cake at WPC sounds yummy!! I should not be writing about food when hungry at work :rotfl:

:cool1: Glad to have you following along again!! It is great, he gets the little details thats I love about Disney and doesn't think its too weird when I say certain smells remind me of Disney :rotfl: He also was equally excited to watch the vacation planning dvd with me which I love!!

YAY glad you came over to my PTR :cheer2: I am so excited to hear about your trip coming up...and all the future trips planned!!

I am so glad I wasn't the only one walking around pronouncing it incorrectly...at least most people I talked to about it had never been to Disney, so they wouldn't know anyway :goodvibes

Are there certain things on the menu you guys liked the best at Le Cellier?

I haven't tried either of those...we were hoping to do Kona for breakfast, but it opens later than we hoped (we want to see rope drop at MK that day) so we are going to be eating Tonga Toast from Captain Cooks (Tim has had it, I haven't tried it)

The good thing about this trip is I can eat/drink what I want since I don't have a race this time around...but the bad part is I still have to run some, because I'll be in the middle of training for the Richmond half marathon :headache:

Great ADRs! I studied French for years, and while La Cellier I pronounce properly, my DH makes fun of the fact that I say "Bistro de Paris" as opposed to "Bisto de Paree". :lmao:

:rotfl2: Your DH would probably cringe if he heard the way I say both of those restaurant names. Tim was very polite on our first date and didn't make fun of me when I said Le Cellier incorrectly...but he loves to laugh at me about it now!

Your ADRs look great!

Thanks!! I am so excited we got everything we wanted! I always have a good meal at 50's, but its hit or miss on the service :confused3...I love when they really interact with you and have fun

Yay on getting Walt Disney specials! We don't get such programmes in the UK - have to get my fill on you tube or other internet sites!

Love all the ADRs!! Lol at La-Cell-ar!! :rotfl:

Bummer!!! I am glad you can still see them online though :thumbsup2 I love when they come on randomly, its a nice treat, though its usually the same ones over and over again (but I still watch ) :rotfl:

Even though Tim taught me how to pronounce it correctly, I have been saying it wrong for so many years that I can't help but still say it the wrong way :rotfl2:

I agree! The food is good, but your experience is really based on the server. We have been pretty fortunate and have had animated servers .

I'm here. It sounds like a fun trip. Ohana and Le Cellier are two of our favorite dinner spots. :thumbsup2
