do they really let you use expired fastpasses?

I've used FP's over and over that are months old people. It doesn't matter. The more you carry, the better. This only works at WDW as, I believe, WDW is the only park that doesn't bar code the darn things. I hope they never do

They may become more strict during the misreably crowded Summer and holiday seasons, but other times are fair game. Collect as many FP's as you can while on your trip and save them. I even pick them up off the ground because people throw them away thinking they are dead. I keep tem and use them...one man's trash is another's treasure.

I NEVER stand in line...EVER!!!!! No reason to if you know how to plan and work the place.

As one who has been turned away with an expired fast pass I will say "don't count on it!"

Due to a ps snaffu at sci fi dine in, we were about 15 minutes after our ride window expired at Star Tours - CM would not let us use the 'expired fastpass". She also took the FP's from us, preventing us from trying again later, I don't know if we would have anyway. This was in February 05.

My personal feeling is that if you happen to miss the window then it dosen't hurt to be honest and ask, the CM may honor the FP.

Otherwise, if you really want to experience the attraction and have a FP - just go during your window and you won't have to rely on the discretion of a CM.

The exception, from what we were told, is if a ride breaks down during your ride window. I have been able to use a FP for the non-running ride (Test Track) "anytime during my stay".

Personally, I will continue to use the FP during the window printed on the FP- this way I know nobody in our party will be dissapointed. If we should inadvertantly miss a window then I will probably ask the CM if we can have an exception.

we were also told by a cm that if we were to return after the window, it will still be honored. She said that technically they "never expire", they "should" still be honored if we get there after the expiration time.

when we were there for our honeymoon, this cm had pulled us to the side as we were heading to go wait in a stand-by line for rock-n-roller coaster (fast passes were only available for much later that day). a cm from tower of terror stopped us (we were wearing our bride and groom ears ).

she handed us a fast passes, and said congradulations. she told us that if we weren't able to make the time that was written on there not to worry about it because it would still be honored after the time.

that was very very nice of her... we weren't expecting anything from wearing the hats, and when she did that, it just made our day!

We've been told by numerous CMs that you just can't use the FP until the start time on the ticket, and can come back anytime after that on that day. We have done this many times and never had a problem...
