We are staying Mon-Sat in a 2 bdrm at BCV. I just got a fantastic cash rate for the Friday nite. I haven't cancelled my Fri with DVC. My question is will they let us keep the same room or will they make us change? I did not make the reservation with DVC but with the WDWTC.

A big MAYBE. When you check in explain to the CM what your situation is. At best, you will have to check out on Friday and check back in right away into the same room. Worst case would be you having to move. They will do everything possible to help you though.

We had a studio portion of a 2BR on a Saturday night and then the rest of the unit starting on Sunday. They let us check out on Sunday morning but keep our studio and simply move into the rest of the unit later in the day.

Good luck.

Is your 2 bedroom with 2 queens in the second bedroom? I think someone had posted that they will not allow cash reservations in those rooms and they had to move.

I did request the lock out. This is our first time home so I'm not sure if that's the 2 beds.

It's no problem if we just have to check out and then in but don't want to be changing rooms...it might not be worth it then.

Thanks for your help.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

The 2 bedrooms with 2 queens in the second bedroom are dedicated. I would check with member services to see if your reservation is setup as a lockoff. You would have a better chance not to move if it is.

I had a 1 bedroom at OKW 2 weeks ago and booked Friday night on an AP rate after Sun to Thurs on points. I did have to go to the front desk to get new keys on Friday morning but did not have to move.

I was told that DVC would guarantee that I would not have to move if I booked the cash night(s) through MS (the reservations were linked). And that's what happened in April. Didn't have to check in/out or anything. It was seamless.

If booked through CRO/WDWTC, I was told to have Member Services and CRO/WDWTC note the other reservation #, and request to keep the same room. But, it's not guaranteed. Sorry, but I haven't read too much about how this actually works out -- some people have posted they didn't have to move, especially if it was the same size room.

I asked several CMs at MS and always got the same story --- not guaranteed. Good luck!
(PS - did you ask MS if they had availability with the 25% member's discount? I ended up doing this, just to avoid any possible hassle of moving. It cost us about $20 more for a 1 BR).

If you are staying in the same sized room, they probably will let you stay. We always have our cash ressies mention that we will be there for the nights of*** on DVC points, and have the same done on the cash ressie. We haven't had to move, ever. This alerts the person who is doing the room assignments to block you into one room for your whole vacation.

Hi all,

I just love this board and all the wonderfull members.:lovestruc

Ok I'm going to call MS today to get them to put in the WDWTC reservation # on their notes. I've already given WDWTC the DVC#.

I do have the 2 beds in the 2nd bdrm. Is that considered a dedicated?:confused3 At first I thought all 2 bdrms had the bed and sofa but when I asked MS she said that she would give me the one with 2 beds, but don't remember what it was called.

Is there a breakdown anywhere with how many 2 bdrms the resorts have and how many of them are dedicated?

Thanks for all your wonderful help.:worship:
