Just curious. Women have it all over us guys when it comes to mouse ears. Official and non-official head band ears for every occasion. But, for us guys we have the choice of the "beanie" ears or the questionable (at least the ones I've seen) baseball cap ears where the ears are usually not shaped right and are always floppy.

Has anyone found a fitted cap style with ears that actually stayed "up" and looked halfway decent? I've got a few Mickey themed baseball caps, but a set of ears would be fun for our upcoming trip to DLR.

I figured that might be the answer, but you never know, so I had to ask!! My google searches have come up empty. I thought about buying a set of "beanie" ears and taking the lightweight plastic ears off those and attaching them to a plain black fitted cap. Since the ears are "hollow" (in that they have a thickness without having a front, back and sides) with just a front and sides, which is why they stand up so well in the standard mouse ears it could avoid the dreaded ear flop! I've got 4 days to figure it out!

Some people make their own ears. You can get the measurements online. Use thin, sturdy cardboard and self adhesive black felt (look at Michael's or JoAnn's). Then you can pin, staple, or what have you the ears to your cap. The problem with the ear hats is that the fit and look all depend on the size of your head. I'm right between the kid and adult sizes, so it's really hard to find an ear hat that stays on, is comfortable, and looks good.

My dad just rocks the mouse-ear headbands (his beloved ones are the pink leopard print).

I, on the other hand, wish they would make the traditional MouseEars (the 'beanie' style) in more than just one size, as my head is just a smidge too big...

You might check out Cakeworthy they started as fan apparel and are now officially Disney approved and have a mickey ears ballcap where the ears seem to stay up (though I haven't actually ordered one myself)

The LED light-up headband-style ones are an option - I see guys wearing those in the parks all the time.

Mostly I've just seen guys wearing either the ear hats (not the headbands) or the ball cap/beanie hat ears. As others have said, the light-up (plastic) earbands are pretty gender neutral (I recall seeing Halloween and Star Wars ones last time). There are also a few earbands that don't have bows (plain ones, animal prints, etc.).
