Do they do anything special for birthdays?

My son will have his 19th birthday during our 2006 cruise. It'll fall on a Thursday, which is a sea day. Any ideas how to make the day extra special or does Disney do anything? I have it noted on our reservation.

Thanks!

They will sing to him and bring out a cake. They used to have a birthday pin, but I don't think they have that any longer.

I just got hit with a birthday cake tonight at the end of dinner (figuratively). Wasn't expecting it. The head server came over and presented me with a Magical Moments pin. I have no idea it is special or not. So you still get pin. At least here on the West Coast cruise.

My hubby also got a birthday cake at dinner tonight...even though it's 5 days away. The cake was decorating with a very cool strip of white chocolate, molded into a curve shape, and with a picture of the Magic on it! Very cool. He got a pin as well. None of us expected or ordered this, BTW. I'm not sure who checks into these things, but someone did!

Thanks! Sounds like fun! Happy Birthday Pineapple! And to your DH Eeyorefan12!

When we cruised with 2 other families, two of the girls had just turned 4. We told our servers on the first night and they let us pick which night we wanted to celebrate. We did formal night, because the girls brough matching Cinderella gowns. The put their names on the cake and sang to them. They were so excited. The servers then took them up to dance. They truly thought they were Cinderella. Not what you want for your son, but just an idea of how they made our DDs day special.
