Do they check your name for DAS rides?

That was my original plan, but then several people have said they've gotten much stricter about the number of people on the DAS.

I don't really see it as a misuse since up to 5 people can ride with the DAS holder. So I don't see that it makes any difference which parent rides, but I wanted to know whether or not Disney cares. I know people have stopped and gotten riders changed at blue umbrellas, but honestly if my son is having a meltdown, I don't have time for that. At the same time I didn't want to have to tell our daughter she can't go on the ride (and I don't feel comfortable with her going without a parent.) which is why I was hoping they don't care about a quick change up. I'll just talk them and see what can be done if it is an issue.

When Magic Bands came out people were worried about them tracking your movements etc. I never really cared because so what if Disney knows how long we spend in the gift shop or at the restaurant. Now thought having pictures of guests attached to their names. I don't care per se if they have a picture of me, but it does seem a little creepy to have a secret file on guests.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! I'll ask when we get the DAS.
They may well grant it for 8, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask, but I agree 100% that this not misuse/abuse at all, and I would bet the farm that Disney wouldn’t see it as misuse/abuse either.

Last summer they didn't even put the DAS on our right ticket ..... so while it was my DS photo, it was on DSIL ticket. Luckily we weren't splitting up but they didn't really blink once we told them "he is scanning" but it's his "photo." Only the DAS holder has a photo associated, the rest just popped up with a name. So they won't care just like they didn't care when you scanned a MB for FP+ that wasn't yours. One for one, there is no advantage.
