Do they call you before your arrive w/GG?

I was wondering if Disney will call you before you arrive for a Grand Gathering. We have a GG for Sept 15-22 at Pop Century booked and my mom received a call. Unfortantely, she was working and missed the call. The person my dad spoke with would not say why they were calling but she needed to call back. My dad then said he was the one paying for this GG and they should talk to him. Still they said they had to talk to her because she is the one that made the reservation. So now I am wondering why they called. She is going to call today when she gets home but the suspense is killing me. Anyone have any thoughts? TIA

HI! We have done a couple of GG's and they do always call to confirm your reservations. The first time they called I was hoping that they were calling to upgrade us! (wishful thinking I guess!) We are arriving at Coronado Springs Thursday the 6th and they called last week to confirm. My message said we're calling to confirm your upcoming GG for 6th-16th at the CSR , this many rooms, this many guests. No need to respond unless there is a discrepency with your records. Hope that helps some and that all is well.
