When you are booking with an AP code, have you always been asked for your number? My friend said she hasn't been asked for it when she booked with AP codes. My problem is, I'm going to be cashing in the value of my leftover days on a MYW for an AP, so I won't have the numbers until after I book. Just kind of hoping I can get the rate w/o the numbers. It's not like I won't have it when I check in. My plan is to hop off DME and hop on a bus to the park and get the AP before I check in.

I think you read too much into her post, she simply answered the OP's question. You can't quell your answers with the possibility that someone will take advantage of it. It's disney's responsibility to follow their rules. I have been twice with AP codes and have never been asked to show my AP, although I do have one and would not make an AP ressie without planning on having to show it at check in. JMHO
