Do these DS.com clothes run small?

I normally order a L from DS.com (even though I buy XL from the store) because the online clothes seem to run bigger. I also like my clothes a bit roomy. Anyway, since I was ordering from the pin sale anyway...I ordered the Mickey polo for her and Logo shorts, and the Island Mickey & Minnie dress. I had heard on these boards the men's polos from DS ran small, so I bought XXL in the women's polo, and only small was available in the shorts , so I got that (hey I can return them, right). I got XL in the Island dress because the CM said it runs "slimfitting". Did I get these too big? I normally wear a 12/14. For those that already bought these items- do they look as nice in person as in the picture?

This is just my opinion, but I never get consistency in DS on-line sizes. I just bought the logo shirts for my 2 DS in 2 different colors, and the small in one color is totally different in the other color. I find this happens a lot with them. But I still order, and if it doesn't fit, return it in your nearest store.

I'd have to agree that the sizing of DS clothing is totally inconsistent. For instance my son at age four was wearing a size 18 months shorts outfit and size 5/6 pajamas, both from the DS. Some items I've ordered have been HUGE (like the swim trunks I just ordered my DS that may fit him in 3 years), while others are extraordinarily SMALL (like those darn PJ pals that cut off the circulation in both of my skinny kids' arms). I've resorted to sometimes ordering two sizes (so they don't sell out before I can exchange) IF it doesn't increase the shipping charge. Then I just return the one that doesn't fit to the mall DS. Silly strategy, but I just can't figure out their sizing.

I find the DS clothes for kids run big except for those little bitty PJ pals. I had to buy my DD (age 2) a size 6!

I agree 100%!!! Very, very frustrating. I was at the disney store last week and they had kim possible sweatpants with size 7 tags that were HUGE -- I held it up to another pair of the same exact pants in size 7 and it was a good 4 inches longer! Also those pj pal arms are ridiculous -- I ended up cutting the end of the arms so they'd fit (shorts and shirt body fit fine).

The island minnie/mickey sarong style skirt runs BIG- I ordered a medium and had to return it- it was way to big- wouldn't stay up. That may give you an idea about the dress. I usually wear a size 10 or pants so this gives you an idea.

Yep, what is with their sizing anyway? Talk about screwy! I ordered all the Tink stuff for my DD for next year...swimsuit, coverup, sunhat, watershoes. The swimsuit is HUGE! Everything else looks fine. Of course, when I tried to reorder in a smaller size they were all gone.

I ordered some stuff last week also, but it hasn't come yet. I'm sure the sizes will all be weird so I just ordered what was available whether or not the size seemed "right" because Disney's idea of "right" and mine aren't the same apparently.

I would be surprised if the dress isn't too big. I ordered dh the Island shirt and we had to send it back and get a smaller size. I also bought a dress exactly the same style as the Island one at my mall store, and I think it is a little larger than average.

On the plus side, they handled the return of dh's shirt quickly and well.

My DM used to be a CM for a Disney store I find that the kids clothes usually run a bit big as do the women's line, however I find the every once in a blue moon something ran small. The good thing is with receipts Disney is glad to exchange items.

Their sizing is screwy - my girls are tiny and yet the size 2-3 in the pjamas was so small on them, I had to return them. I got th size 4-5 an it still didn't fit right.
