Do the marathons affect Disney transportation?

I didn't realize the weekend we're going is the Wine and Dine Half Mararthon (we get there November 6th in the morning and are there until the 11th).

Also, what does it affect in relation to the parks themselves? I wanted Saturday to be our day at AK and it looks like they have a 5K going on in the park at 7 AM. Will this affect dining reservations if I booked one that morning for breakfast?

We're staying at AKL which isn't a marathon hotel but should I be concerned at all with the traveling to and from the parks on Friday and Saturday? We plan to only do 3 days in the parks MAYBE 4 so I'd kind of like to get an idea of how things work before I book my dining reservations in a few weeks.

Wine and DIne has the least impact of any race.

5K is over pretty quick. You may have to dodge some runners for breakfast but they do the park part first so they are gone fairly quickly.

Half starts after the parks are closed. No real impact there.

Run Disney will have all charter buses so they will not use the regular transportation buses for shuttling people around. There will be some road closures for the 1/2 marathon on Saturday night. If you look up the route map, you will be able to figure out which ones will be closed.

Thank you both I was more concerned about the road closures and not so much about the runners being on our buses. I wanted to be sure I didn't have to allow for like an extra half an hour or anything like that to get from hotel to park and vice versa. Good to know I can expect very little to no delays in any of our plans and that they won't impact our AK day.

I did 5k last year. I know we had a few folks in parks as we were coming towards end. just be aware of possible runners and stay on your side of cones. The nighttime ( half) starts at ESpn wwos so depending on what park your coming from you may have bit extra bus time.
